Dedicated to Kenneth Elmore Wallace Freeman. Thanks Dad
Was expecting much more from their ice cream, but found out that they were just regular. When the third time we visited there we finally got to try them, we felt the $2 per one scoop cones weren't really worth it. I don't recommend them.
Very friendly establishment, good ice cream and other snack items!
If you're going for some hike/nature seeing at the Monteverde Reserva and you do not stop at this Cheese/Ice cream factory on your way back there is something wrong :) It was just excellent !!!!
Delicious milkshakes and ice cream. They have a large selection of cheeses as well as other dairy products (though not all are actually produced here). It does not seem well known, but this cheese factory is why Monteverde/Santa Elena exists in it's current state. The dairy farmers who settled here in the 50's created the surrounding reserves to preserve the water supply and tourism was developed afterwards.
Worth a visit on the way to Monteverde Reserve. You can watch the cheese being made from a large factory viewing window. They also serve coffee and some ready made food options.
Great ice cream, very nice staff, and decent selection of cheese. Watching the workers in the back was cool.
The fig ice cream is amazing - had to have a second helping.
Sleek facility with range of dairy products available for purchase. There's also a viewing window through which one can watch the production process. Unfortunately, tours are no longer offered. However, the ice cream makes the walk from town worth it.
Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. I don't know if we starving or what. We had 3 different kinds.
Come for the ice cream. It's about a half hour walk from town at a brisk pace or a pretty quick drive. They offer tours and cheese to purchase but we just got the ice cream
Awesome ice cream. Great cheese. Good people. Great stop on a hot day.
