A little bar with some local beers and good app style bar foods. Very attentive staff was a plus.

Bartender pours semi cool beer with the top 1/4 of the glass head. I drank it listening to cliche Bob Marley tunes while they took 45 minutes to prepare a salad to go. My wifes to-go salad came and then had to wait longer for my bill. When it did come they charged a tax (no other restaurant in CR has charged this) as well as a service fee (for TAKEOUT). At least the feta salad was okay. That was the 2 stars. Also the bathrooms are gross. I recommend Tico Sabor not here.

Fries were very garlicky (exactly how they should be) and the food was good, and reasonably priced. The chocolate cake was also great

Nice little tiny craft brewery up in the Monteverde mountains. Relaxing spot with local art crafts and food.

This is the best place to eat in town! Went twice for dinner. The fish and shawarma were delicious. Great space and environment. Highly recommended.

Jumped in with a friend during some stormy weather. This place looks hipsterish, though they have some very good beers on tap. Definitely try the one with pineapple!

The mango beer was TO DIE FOR. Rose (Rosie?) was a HUGE help. She allowed us to bum there during the storm to use the wifi, and gave us an expert tip on the jeep-boat-jeep that allowed us to travel to La Fortuna that day when we didn't think we'd have time to fit into our trip. So grateful for her hospitality and kindness and the great beer was a bonus!!

Good hummus and ok beer, but not worth the prices they're charging. As I'm guessing is commonplace in Monteverde, they advertise prices without tax or service, and then give you a dollar exchange rate of 10% worse than anywhere else in the country.

I really loved this place in Monteverde. I was looking for a smoothie the first time I went there and I met the owner at the same time. Uriel is a daddy of three gorgeous children:) I was in Monteverde for 3 weeks and helped him with writing/drawing on his chalkboards. The food is very delicious! The ambiance is very relax. Good wifi. Family business that work hard for what they do! I really enjoyed that you feel home when you go there! Thanks again Uriel😊

We parked in the travel office lot next door. It was on a Thursday night at 9 pm. No issues for the hour we were there, but otherwise parking may be difficult if you're not staying in the triangle nearby.

It looks high end, but still simple and fun. There's a chalk board by the entrance and it's kid friendly. We sat by the bar, and the restaurant was maybe half full. It took 10 minutes to be greeted and take our order, and another 5 before my IPA arrived, even though the tap was directly across from us. The IPA was a bit sour--not a bad thing, but I didn't get the impression that was intentional. The kitchen had frozen meat thawing in the open. We got our dessert maybe 10 minutes after that, which had a hair in it. Afterward, my date watched the kitchen staff heap French fries onto a plate with her bear hands.

None of these things are deal-breakers on their own, but together, I got the impression the staff either didn't care or weren't well managed.
