  Montero is a beautiful neighborhood in Isla de Chira. There are great pescaderías, as well as a mangrove reforestation project in this community that is managed by the Asociación Mixta de Pescadores. There is a local bar, Bar Capiate and a small pulpería here as well!

  There is a nice little mangrove nursery for the first restoration project present on Isla Chira. Visit and support it. Ask around for more details.
