The jerk chicken filet. Oh my gosh. Delicious. Spicy. Good. I wish I could buy a bottle of that sauce. Highly recommended. Casual place so informal and best food ever.

Mrs Edith is a very warm and accommodating person. She has been here for many years. She did make us very special meal the first time we were there, have been back every time we are in town. Thanks, Mrs Edith, will see you soon.

    prices okay
    bad service
    bad food
    no beer

Never had such a bad visit in a restaurant before. Prices were normal but mostly everthing for drinks (cocktails and juices) was out, even there was not enough beer for us. We waited one and a half hour for vegeterian curry and it tasted nothing but old. fish soup smelled and tasted terrible. Why were there cloves in? The fish head was very unappetizing. Later the waiter got grumpy, because we were still there after closing time (when curry arrived). Separate bills were not possible and she didn't give the change back.

Really good Costa Rican food at reasonable prices. Covered open air. Seems to be a place for locals. Just the kind of place I like to eat when visiting a foreign country.

    Wow.
A place so “laid back”, it took 30 mins to get our bill. In an empty restaurant.
Food so lame, I wouldn’t serve it to the lizards.
    Avoid.

    Avoid.

    Did I mention?

    Avoid.

Here is your warning- beware. Our group is well traveled and understanding, but unless you want to throw money away you should try somewhere else. Our server was friendly, but extremely slow and inexperienced. She served half our group but forgot several of us until we asked. And we were the only ones in the place {a bad sign}. Food was SMALL portions, mediocre, and way overpriced. Good luck if you try them.

We decided to eat here because it was recommended by our hiking guide. The staff was all eating lunch themselves, but someone promptly came over to take our order. After some language barrier problems Miss Edith came over and explained that they were actually closed, but would make lunch for us anyway! The food was delicious, especially anything with the special Caribbean sauce. Thanks Miss Edith!

Coconut milk rice and beans = amazing. Very good food, very mellow place. Best food in Cahuita. Lunchtime views of the ocean with breeze perhaps the best time of day.

The food was exquisite! The service was friendly and kind. The view and sound of the ocean is calming along with the music they play. The jerk chicken with rice and beans and steamed veggies was spicy and filling.

This place has a laid back vibe the food is great ate here for breakfast and dinner. The waitress treats you like family this place is authentic as it gets reggae music playing in the background starring at the ocean eating jerk chicken, what else could you ask for
