Would highly recommend these guys. Was initially a bit nervous to use them as I couldn't find many reviews about the company but went with them regardless as their price was much better than others. It would be good if they were a bit clearer about the extra insurance you have to purchase (or better still, include it in the price) but ultimately they were still much cheaper than the alternatives.

We were 8 hours delayed arriving to San Jose, but that was not a problem. They simply brought our rental car to the hotel the next morning and took one day off the price. The car was in good condition and the staff member was incredibly helpful and friendly with tips about driving in Costa Rica. When we returned the vehicle, they picked it up from the airport for us at no extra cost and the process was extremely easy.

If you're going to rent a car in Costa Rica. These guys are the place to go.

Very good service and prompt answers to any questions prior to the trip.
Very handy to pick-up and drop-off the car at the airport.
Car is not the newest, but well adapted to Costa Rica road conditions.
Full transparency on price and Carlos very nice.

Carlos, the person who talked to us lied many times regarding the booking (Costa Rica). The reservation was done nearly two months before and an amount of money paid in advance. We were waiting at the airport for 1 or 2 hours for our car and he sent another person from another company because apparently he did not have our car available!!!! carlos did not take any responsability and he did not give us any solution to our problem. It was a completely fraud!!!!! DO NOT RENT ANY CARS IN THIS COMPANY.

MIRAGE es una ESTAFA.
Carlos es el dueño. Nos cobraron 120 euros por internet y nunca vinieron a traernos el coche. Le echaban la culpa a otra web intermediaria.
Al final tuvimos que rentar el coche en otra compañía .
Carlos no paró de mentir y no se quiso poner en contacto cn la web intermediaria o arreglar el asunto.
Nos está llevando tiempo de nuestras vacaciones para recuperar el dinero.
NO RENTEIS AQUí.

Mirage Car Rental service in Costa Rica is the way to go! Absolutely no hidden fees, affordable prices, great GPS and they give you a local cell phone for communications. The representative met us at the airport and went over the rental agreement, checked out dings and scratches and even allowed airport drop off. The representative was very professional and answered all of my questions. I absolutely recommend this very professional business for their services.
