We booked a three excursion tour, Sloth, waterfall, volcano all in one day!! We had Alex and Jason. They were on time and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Along the tide to our first stop, Alex would point out all kinds of information on Costa Rica (The Killer Tree), and they had us stop for breakfast at a roadside vendor (AMAZING FOOD& JUICE!). Alex kept everyone engaged asking questions and explaining about the area.
The sloth habitat was Awesome!! We got to see live sloths throughout the whole place, we saw Tree Frogs, Dart Frogs, Howler Monkey, Termites, Leaf cutter ants, various cool trees, and a Toucan that followed us around!
We left there and went to have lunch at our next site to see at a restaurant in the middle of the jungle it seemed. We then took horses up the mountain to the waterfalls, which we had to Cross a suspension bridge to get to them. We had a Great time in one of the waterfalls.BTW while there Alex got some GREAT pictures of us all playing in one of the waterfalls!’
Then we were off to the volcano area, we put mud on from the mud pits, then walked through the pathway exploring the volcano pumping mist into the air, then we enjoyed the hot springs that were heated from the volcano. Really Hot!! Alex and Jason were so Great and professional that we booked them to bring us to Tamarindo on another day. Alex was Amazing again!! While at the beach Alex made sure that they moved the van closest to us all day long, which was extremely useful since we had a big cooler in the van and we didn’t have to tote it around! Alex made us feel like we were all family!! Can’t wait to go back and link up with Alex again!! Pura Vida!!
We used Fayla tours for round trip airport transportation. Chris was awesome - knowledgeable about the area and accommodated stops we wanted to make before heading to resort.
Gerson was an amazing tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about all 3 tours we took (Arenal, Rio Guanacaste, Canyon scenic tour and waterfall). He was also very accommodating on stops we wanted to make heading back to resort. He took the extra effort to look for Tucans and sloths on our rides everywhere and pulled over several times to get a view of wildlife. He took amazing photos for us. I highly recommend Fayla tours and Chris and Gerson were both great. I will and have already recommended them to friends going to Costa Rica in the future.
You won’t be disappointed with a private tour. While it is a little more expensive it is worth the extra cost as they truly look out to ensure you have a great experience and it’s all based on how long or how little you want to stay at particular place.
We booked a private snorkeling tour with Fayla in May 2022. The captain Eduardo and first mate, Alberto picked us up from the beach at the Four Seasons Papagayo Penninsula. Both crew were fantastic. They wanted to make sure they took us to where we would see tropical fish. We even got to do some sport fishing and my husband almost caught onealmost. Anyway they could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We had a lot of fun AND they provided fresh fruit and drinks. Thank you for an amazing trip!
We made arrangements from the US for pick up at the airport in Liberia to take us to the Guanacaste region. Location of driver was exactly as described, timely and aware of flight time changes. Air conditioned transport van in excellent condition, private shuttle with safe driving. Our departure flight had a last minute change and Robert was immediately responsive and assured us the new time could be accommodated, which it was. Same excellent service to the airport that we received upon arrival. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! RELIABLE!!
I really cannot say enough great things about the experience we had with Fayla tours!! We took three tours: Palo Verde National Park Boat Tour (we saw crocodiles, white faced and howler monkeys, and many beautiful birds), Sloth Sanctuary and Volcano Hot Springs (this also included hanging bridges and waterfalls, we saw so many cool animals up close in the sloth sanctuary--including two and three toed sloth, toucans, frogs, leafcutter ants, snakes), and the Costa Rican Coffee and Pottery Learning.
For all three tours our tour guide was Alex. He picked us up directly at our hotel for each private tour. As soon as we left the resort he immediately started telling us about Costa Rica and pointing out interesting sights. He would often pull off the road to show us a cool plant, point out wildlife, or tell us about the communities.
For each tour Alex would take us to the point of interest (which was often a national park or privately owned establishment) and the price of our tour included any entry fees etc. Alex often knew the guides at the other establishments well, and it felt like we received "VIP" treatment everywhere we went because of his relationships. Because he was so familiar with each tour, we not only received information from the guides at the establishment, but Alex provided additional facts and helped spot wildlife etc. I do recommend making sure to pack extra cash to ensure you can tip additional guides at each establishment!
In addition to the tours, Alex also took us to some amazing local spots for breakfast and lunch, including an AMAZING roadside stand and restaurant that made their own Palm Wine. Since we were staying at a resort, these were our only opportunities to try the local cuisine, and were definitely the best meals we had on our entire trip.
Our 83 year old grandmother went on the trip with us and Alex was amazing making sure our pace was comfortable for her and helping her get around. Our grandmother was a little nervous about traveling in Costa Rica going into the trip, but she felt safe everywhere we went with Alex!
Like I said, I just can't say enough positive things about our experience. Book with Fayla tours! You won't regret it.
Nice Airport. Easy to navigate.
