Kelly is very friendly and this is the place to get Mexican-style food (burritos, nachos) with a Tico twist. I live in Colorado and this is the best chicken burrito I’ve had in a long time, very good pineapple smoothie too! If you are looking for local information he is a great guy to ask.

Wow! Laid back atmosphere and probably the best burrito I’ve ever had in my life. If you want an authentic, rustic, and friendly place you must try it. Will be back several times before our trip is over.

Great food and even better prices! Knowledgeable regarding gluten free and able to talk you through the menu to know your options. Strawberry/pineapple drink with rum was amazing!

One of the better Taco I have had in my life!
It beats all the taco I had eaten in the USA.

If you are in that area and you are looking for something to eat, go to La Ventina. It is a low key place and I can tell that the food is made with love. The owner is really friendly.

Bonus, if you like motorcycle, you can check his shop while your food is getting ready.

The last time I went there, they only accepted cash, but if you have PayPal, you are good.

10/10, would eat there again!

Chose to stop in after reading the reviews. I gotta say I had high hopes and great expectations. They were met and surpassed. The food is wonderful and the owner Kelly is very kind and a wonderful cook. This is a must even if it means a drive from La Fortuna.

Kelly the owner/cook is fantastic. His little window provides authentic tico and he'll accommodate your dietary needs (gluten free). The portions are generous and everything is tasty. We'll make La Ventanita a regular stop on all of our visits.
