  Try the seafood platter. It was enough to feed 4 people. Can't go wrong with fresh snapper if you like fish. Spectacular sunset dining experience can't be missed.

  Location, location,location. A million love notes to La Palapa. We stayed in the beach view cabina, which was comfy, clean and had great AC! There are resident howler monkeys that might wake you up with the sun, but it was more than we could have asked for. Rolando at the front desk was amazing and always smiling. We had dinner there one night too (with a fire show). Don’t miss the lobster here. Grilled and delicious. If you’re expectations are to stay on the beach, right near everything, for a great price, then definitely consider La Palapa. We loved it and would definitely stay again! Pura Vida!

  La Palapa hotel is in a great location but the best part of the hotel is Rolando the front office receptionist. He was so friendly and helpful throughout my stay. His gave me fantastic suggestions for what to see, do and where to dine. He treated me like family and I heard other guests say the same thing about Rolando. I hope the owners know how lucky they are to have Rolando as he's one in a million!

  Awesome little beachfront restaurant...I highly recommend the mahi mahi. They do 2 for 1 happy hour all day...shots are $7 and mixed drinks are $10. Definitely worth checking out.

  Ground floor right on the beach / ocean view, was amazing!! Very comfortable king size bed!
  Loved it so made another reservation for a few weeks later...beware!!!
  They give away reservations to make money sooner.
  We had Showed up for reservation at 4:00 pm and they had given it away . There was no "be there by a certain time rule" and they said they didn't think we were coming anymore so "had" to give it away. Bizarre indeed as that's the whole point of reservation....

  Slow and disorganized. Drinks totally forgotten about, and one meal forgotten about. Meal came 15 minutes after everyone else. Undercooked and got sick. Management didn't care, didn't do anything at all. AVOID. Lots of better places in the area.

  I don't know anything about the hotel! But if you're looking for amazing food this is the place! They're seafood is amazing! I had the blackened tuna and it was cooked to perfection. Not to mention the live band and flame dancers were quite amusing. It's right on the beach so wear your flip flops because the tides will soak your feet! Had an amazing time!
