Optimistically has seating for 50 but on my visit there were only half a dozen guests.
The plates are large and 4 at a table for four had us juggling plates in an attempt to place everything on the table.
A spilled water glass was left un-mopped while a plate with food still on it was taken away (I wanted those last few fries, dang it).
Prices were in keeping with competing tourist restaurants - higher than justified. Rock lobsters, as expected, with a huge puddle of a melted butter-like substance that worked well.
I would not return, but vacationers won't be displeased.response / report this review -

Our friends highly recommended this restaurant to us to eat at while we were in Costa Rica. It was a little bit hard to find, but we are sure glad we found it. The service was friendly, the beer was ice cold and the food was excellent! We will definitely stop again when we’re back in that area.

We had the hearts of palm salad, shrimp ceviche and lobster. Everything was delicious. Their menu is not very descriptive, so you may need to ask for the details of a menu item before you order. The server was very attentive and friendly.

An amazing find. The ceviche is probably the best I have had anywhere, but all dishes we tried were great with fresh seafood. Even the fries were surprisingly spectacular. As a nice bonus they also have a wide selection of local craft beers on bottle. We ended up going here three times in two days.

This is a hidden gem on the side of the Panamerican Highway in Matapalo. They have the best fresh seafood in the area. I personally love the octopus and their mariscada is delicious. They have room for very large parties. It is very busy on the weekends with people stopping after a day at the beach. They have a full bar, tv so you can watch your soccer game, and are handicapped accessible. The staff is very friendly. I have left my phone charging there a few times after the beach and have always gotten it back, even the following day. Do not miss this place.

Great surprise finding this place.It's right next to costanera at the Matapalo entrance,food and service were great,I will visit again to try more options from the menu.
