  Pupusas are fun Salvadorian savory pancakes with meat, seafood, cheese, beans, or other options cooked in with the batter per your choice from menu. Cooked/griddled in oil, so something to consider. Cabbage in vinegar served as an accompaniment. I think this is a dish one would miss if you grew up with it, but we did not find it especially tasty. Restaurant hosts were very nice.

  Hands down the best pupusas restaurant in Costa Rica.
  
  Haven eaten pupusas made by Hondurenos before, these are the best I had. They have a variety of combinations in their menu and the service is very nice.
  
  If you happen to be in Atenas for some reason, don't miss this place.

  The papusas here are only fair - I've had tastier in the US. The dessert I bought to go also had a strange texture (my Argentinian wife didn't like it either)

  Definitely worth the visit, I have never has a pup's as before this, they were tasty and inexpensive.
