Fun decor. Margaritas were delicious. We enjoyed the entrees of fajitas and chef special pulled beef taco. Very reasonable prices.
What an amazing special place.
The food is dreamy and the people are so nice, it almost feels like you just came back home to a warm loving family even if it's your first time here.
Thank you for a wonderful meal and a great welcome to Costa Rica!! šš»š
I love the staff and the food. Tastes almost like mama used to make!
Excellent place for great Mexican food. We drove 30 minutes to come here a second time. Norman, the owner, takes very good care of you - he remembered our party and our order a week later when we revisited. Would highly recommend the chimichanga and the pachos (nachos with plantain as the chips). Area is a bit sketchy at night but on a Saturday when we went, Norm had a neighbourhood friend who looked after cars parked on the street. Very reasonable prices as well!
Tastey tastey tacos, burritos, & nachos. Their house salsa is fiery and amazing.
Best food anywhere in the area! Simply great and amazing food. The owner Norman has created a wonderful atmosphere and incredible dishes. Just delicious!!!
An amazing, exquisite, and the perfect experience in great Mexican food. Friendly, helpful, great margaritas. Your host, and owner, Norm, is gracious, knowledgeable, and a very personable.
Awesome little Mexican food restaurant. Greeted by the host when we walked in. Lucky for us he spoke English! Food came out quick and was very good! Would definitely recommend.
Had a few hours to kill at San Jose airport. Was happy to find this place. Food was delicious. Good cheap margaritas.
Fantastic food. Warm atmosphere. Wonderful service. We were greeted by Norman, the owner right when we got there. He gets it. He ensured we were comfortable and recommended some food choices. We got the fish tacos, grilled steak fajitas, and the fried plantains topped with guacamole. For the love of God, get the fried plantains. Margaritas were very good and not made with a cheap mix. A must if you are in the area. We have plans to return. Viva jalapeno Central!
I can't say enough good about this restaurant. The service is always 100%. The food is consistent and consistently great. Portions are huge in the deserts alone will keep you coming back. The owner is a former restaurateur from New York City who goes by the old fashioned idea that the customer is the most important person in the place, something that is seldom found in Costa Rican restaurants. He's been there for 14 years and that's how long that I have been going there. And I will be going back as long as the restaurant is there.
Went here on our 2nd night in CR, and it was so good we came back the day before our flight out. Prices are very reasonable with big portions. We tried 4 different meals and they were all really good. Desserts are worth trying too (passion fruit cheesecake was our favorite).
This is an easy choice for anyone staying nearby.
Food and service were both amazing. We didn't realize it was Tex-Mex until we arrived but we loved it. I ordered the Buffalo chicken fajitas and it was the best fajitas I've ever eaten, and that's not a small sample size. They were super spicy but the menu had plenty of warnings. My gf ordered the fish tacos and those were delicious also!
Food was fantastic! The owner and entire staff were super friendly. Casual and fun atmosphere. Inexpensive, good portions. You want authentic at a good price in a safe area - then go! You won't be disappointed!
Great food and great staff! The food is so fresh and filling we visited twice. As a vegetarian the flavor was there and the chalupa was very filling (more so than taco salad). Highly recommend anyone bumming around the city waiting for a flight. The owner is friendly, hilarious and speaks very good English.
