I spent about 8 weeks studying here at ILISA, and it was the best experience in my life! (Wish it could've been longer!) My brother is planning on studying here, too, but he wanted to know how long each day is I would've told him, but I forgot. Could anyone help?

I worked with ILISA for my service learning trip to Costa Rica. It was supposed to enhance my Spanish speaking abilities but I dont think they really focused on that I learned more about the culture of Costa Rican's more than anything. I still enjoyed the experience though. ILISA made sure our schedule was jammed packed with events and fed us lunch everyday.

The Michaud Family had the greatest time on our first Costa Rica Trip. The Ilisa staff were Puda Vida!!!!!! You all have made this an amazing experience for us. We felt at home and truly wish we did not have to go back. But it gives us an opportunity to plan our next Costa Rica Family Trip and even stay longer.
P.S. My kids Darius and Skyler asked us while at the airport if my job could transfer us to Costa Rica so that way the could live and go to school in Costa Rica! Cause they wish they could stay.

Again thank you for everything. My family and I Appreciate it from the bottom of our heart.
Ray, Nedjie, Darius, and Skyler Michaud

I studied at ILISA a couple years ago when I lived in Costa Rica; I took private lessons a few times a week for several months. My teachers were all great! Hi to Carlos, Francisco, Tatiana, Maria Eugenia, and Esteban.
I've been living in Quito, Ecuador for over three years, and I feel that my studies at ILISA really helped me (I'm taking lessons here, too). Learning Spanish has been one of the biggest blessings of my life--through it I was able to meet my wife Victoria (attached is a picture of us with two of my stepdaughters). I also teach English here in Quito and it helps tremendously to have the knowledge of Spanish. I encourage everyone who visits Costa Rica for any length of time to use ILISA's excellent services. Pura Vida! -- Bill

My experience with ILISA was wonderful! I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to do an immersion program in the capital city. Our host families were welcoming and the staff was always willing to help. I benefitted tremendously from the private tutor sessions that we had when we did our program through my undergraduate university. I was able to work at a faster pace and do more conversation related activities. The tutors work at your level and push you to advance your spanish skills. View is great from the building and it is in a good location!

The 4-5 months I spent studying at ILISA was the best language learning experience I've ever had. The small class sizes (usually 4 or less) give you many opportunities to practice the language you're learning, and their highly-qualified teachers do a great job of explaining and helping you master grammar. The in-school cafeteria, dance classes, and field trips (included in your enrollment cost) give students the opportunity to build friendships with each other. And you can't beat the climate and tourist opportunities available in Costa Rica! Would definitely study at ILISA again.

I have attended ILISA in Costa Rica twice, each time for 4 weeks. It was the best experience of my life. I spoke no Spanish when I first arrived but have made considerable progress. All the staff is fabulous and very supportive. I highly recommend ILISA to anyone who wants to study Spanish.
