Small property in a quiet and safe area. A short walk to the main road, and easy access to the beach.

I would give it 3+++, because you kind of pay for more than you get.. Basic rooms with a bit thin courtains, and no closet to put your stuff. With that said it is nice with outdoor kitchen, and its a quiet and relaxing place within walking distance to beach, stores restaurant etc

This is a tough one. The owner is a good guy and the place is certainly livable but to call it good is a stretch. Yes, it's quiet. Being off the main drag is a plus, but that also means it's nowhere near the beach. The pool is 1/4 the size it appears in pictures. You can actually jump over it. Rooms are spartan at best. No desk, no dresser, no closet, no hangars. .. but ok wifi, tv, air con. The lock on the gate is very tempermental .

Nice room with a communal yard and kitchen. I felt a lack of privacy since you could hear people talk through the glass door when you're in the room. Quite expensive. Wi-Fi, but rather slow

Great spot in a great location. Cute little rooms with all you could need. Really communal and made some new friends. Short walk to bars, stores, beach, food, etc. Only improvement needed is a regular cleaning/changing of the filters in the A/C. I have allergies which aren't usually ever that bad, but had a really rough couple of days because of the dust. Aside from a quick filter change, this place is golden! The owner is Also super nice.
Bonus - check out the burger place at the corner. Amazing cuba libres and 2 for 1 drinks across the street!response / report this review -

Hostal muy tranquilo, a 300 m de la playa, habitaciones pequeñas, pero con todas las comodidades (Tv, Aire Acond, Vent de Techo, Heladera en la habitación, Agua caliente), además cuenta con cocina compartida. No tiene estacionamiento en un sitio cerrado, se puede estacionar afuera, está iluminado y con cámaras de vigilancia. Muy buena relación precio calidad.

Great hotel in Tamarindo! Small property (only 6 rooms) which creates a very homey atmosphere. Rooms are clean, come with air conditioning and hot water. Communal outdoor kitchen to use as well. Extremely friendly owner who's always happy to help!

Very friendly owner(?). We had a problem with a smell in our room, she was very apologetic about it and we got to change room. The room was very clean so the smell was probably because of rain or the AC or something.
The place it self is very cozy, and relaxed. Some reviews complains about small rooms. They are, but it's fine for me. Maybe if you hang out alot in your room it's not for you. But they had hammock's and seats outside of the room where we preferred to be when back at the hotel.
They got a communal kitchen which we used for breakfast. And it was ok.response / report this review -
