Given bed in dorm with ensuitr and without window. Horrible. Upper level dorms look great - insist on one or find somewhere else. Breakfast is worth the price of admission though! Decent kitchen. Not much mingling or any recreational features. Fine place to stay if you are out on tours all day but not much of a hostel vibe.

Good bang for your buck! The rooms are cleaned daily, towels are provided, there’s an awesome free breakfast available till 9 that’s well worth waking up early for and it’s so close to town to walk. They offer an unlimited shuttle to nearby attractions for a one time payment of 15$. The staff is friendly and so helpful to answer any questions you may have!

Not what was expected from the photos you see online. But still not a bad place to stay and the price was fair. Good location fairly close to main area of town. Maybe a five minute walk.

I would guess this hotel is among the cheapest private rooms in La Fortuna. I liked the location, close to centrum, but also not too central. We spotted some different colorful birds in the outside area. A good place to meet other travelers. One free tour included. Breakfast was ok. The room was clean, but the bed was not so good, and there is no closet to put your stuff. In bathroom there no knots for towel etc. All in all good value for money compared to other places.

The hostel itself was fine.. standard rooms, warm water in the showers, quiet from street noise for sleeping, pretty good breakfast included. However, if you do the $15 unlimited shuttle option make sure to plan your day around it with quite a bit of flexibility and go with the flow. It didnt seem to follow the schedule. The first day we started waiting for it at the hot springs at 3:45 for the 4pm pick up. It did not arrive until after 5pm, and this was after a few calls to the hostel while waiting in the cold rain, thanks to the help of friendly locals with cell phones. But we were able to see some wildlife while waiting! When another woman in a car came to pick us up she said the shuttle driver got confused and went another route. The second day again it was supposed to come at 2.45 but must have skipped that pick up because it didnt arrive until after 4pm. A lot of waiting. If you are planning a packed day it might not be the best option to use their shuttle service unless they have changed and are more accurate to the schedule.

Great staff. We did out washing for a decent price hassle free and enjoyed the tours. We managed to bargin some of the prices down. The breakfast was so so good! The dorm room was nice it was 10 bed but in 3 different rooms sort of it's a bit hard to explain but in our little room there were 4 beds. There is ac but u don't exactly need it here.

Notre chambre était franchement insalubre, manque d hygiène totale , j ai une centaine de piqûres de punaises de lit sur les jambes depuis mon passage ! Je ne recommanderai pas cet hôtel !

Me aloje en Octubre del 2012 y por entonces pague por habitación doble 51 dolares al dÃa. Tenia buenas vistas desde la habitación, que era normalita. Adecuado a lo que pagamos teniendo en cuenta los precios de la zona.

Las camas son buenas tirando a normales. Me quedé en una habitación compartida y en el baño faltaba papel. El problema fue al pagar que se nos cobró en dólares en lugar de colones no solo a un cambio desfavorable sino que ni preguntaron como Ãbamos a pagar. El desayuno incluido es una buena oferta aunque las cantidades y la desorganización no están equilibradas.
