  This is my favorite hostel in all of central and South America! Beautiful place on the water with kayaks and bikes as well as the friendliest staff. Staff helped us get taxis and gave advice on where to go nearby so we found not crowded hiking trails. Place is super clean and comfortable, you'll want to stay forever.

  This hostel is amazing! Clean, very friendly owner and staff, and beautiful views of the ocean from many places in the hostel. The design of the building is very funky (in a great way!) which creates a lot of different places to chill with others or on your own. I especially loved the rooftop turf, a great place to practice yoga and dry clothes and bathing suits. The breakfast included is so nice, we couldn't help but sit for hours sipping coffee and watching dolphins as we are fresh fruit and toast. Catalina (the owner) is so kind and helpful, directing guests to different activities around the area depending on your budget. We loved the free bikes and also the inexpensive kayak rental.
  To top it off, Golfito is a wonderful, small, non-touristy town that surprised us! We originally stopped here just to stay a night then move on, but ended up staying for 3 days and we still don't want to leave! I highly recommend this hostel and making time for Golfito on your trip. It's a nice place to recharge and relax, with the option for hiking and waterfalls.
  If I came back, I would ask to stay in a room with an ocean view/window, so try that!

  This is a great place. Its got real character with nice clean rooms and lots of common areas that are cool and shady. You get some great views of the bay, especially from the roof at sunset. Valeria is a lovely host providing good information and delicious breakfasts. She also speaks really good English.

  Un lugar perfecto para disfrutar en pareja, familia o sólo. Muchas áreas comunes y espacios. Tiene su propio muelle, lo que es perfecto para ver el amanecer y realizar tours saliendo del mismo hostal. Una terraza con la mejor vista para desayunar. Se pueden ver los delfines pasar a solo metros desde la terraza. Catalina es una excelente anfitriona. Podés pagar con efectivo o tarjeta y coordinar cualquier tour con ellos. Lo recomiendo sin dudarlo.

  Piuttosto caro, cucina poco attrezzata, affittano biciclette sgangherate, (ruote sgonfie, manubrio lento, catena che esce troppo spesso e mai oliata). Alcune stanze godono di bella vista sul mare, che non è particolarmente interessante.
  Il luogo sembra dimenticato da Dio.
  Si incontrano insetti di vario genere, ma è normale qua, purtroppo gli scarafaggi infastidiscono molto.

  Arrivée par hasard, je m'y suis retrouvé mi juillet pratiquement tout seul. J ai pris un lit en dortoir des pour 22 dollars.Étant seul, ils m'ont donné une chambre pour le même prix. L endroit est propre. Dans cette chambre les matelas étaient posés sur des palettes.
  Passé 21h le coin est calme. C est excentré par rapport à la rue principale.
  La douche sur le palier était froide.
  La vue sur le Golfito est super sympathique.

  Golfito is a really beautiful, relaxing and not touristic place. You can find a lot of nature there. The hostel is directly at the water and very nice. The rooms and everything is clean. The kitchen is good and the breakfast, too. The staff is so friendly we had a really great stay there. I can totally recommend it to everyone.

  We stayed here one night after a long trip from Bocas town and it was a major relief. Valeria is very welcoming, knowledgeable, more than friendly and hospitable. The facilities are great and you stay with nature. I met the neighbors cat plus an iguana the size of my thigh, both of which were in their garden. Breakfast and the view from the balcony are simply amazing. Do stay here.

  Si usted busca un lugar cálido, hogareño y confortable, definitivamente debe visitar Hostal del Mar. El trato es humano y de primera. Realmente lo recomiendo.
