Went here at 9am as an American who only knows a bit of Spanish hoping to get help for a nasty ear infection that I contracted. I walked over around 9am and was immediately seen after talking to the receptionists and going through a vital check with the nurse. All of the staff was extremely understanding and helpful, especially Doctor Robles Calderon Alla, and his English was great. After he wrote me a prescription, I went to the hospital pharmacy and my prescriptions were filled immediately. All in, the whole process only took about an hour and for the visit and all four prescription medications, I paid just under $200 usd which definitely seemed reasonable compared to US Prices. Now we wait to see if the meds work! Muchas gracias a los medicos de clinica biblica!

I just went there for a traveller Covid antigen test and everything was perfectly organized and went smoothly.
The tests are taken in the car park on the other side of the main building, on the 6th floor. You can book an appointment on their website for less waiting time. They also offer drive-through-tests.
I just went there without an appointment, waited approx. 30 minutes, filled out an form, paid 30.000CRC via credit card and then the test was professionally done. The result was sent to me via email within 2 hours. If you want it also in english you just have to write them an email.
Definitely can recommend the institution it looks like they are very well organized and structured!response / report this review -

I was here for a Covid PCR Test for travelling. The Website is a little confusing, but I finally managed to book an appointment online and everything went very smooth afterwards. Well organized, had the result in less than 24h, first only in Spanish, but after one e-mail in English as well. Would recommend.

This place is great! I don’t understand why there are so many bad reviews. Took an Uber, walked in and someone directed me across the street to the 6th floor of the parking garage. Not a single other person was there on a Sunday at 5. I did not have a reservation. They took my info, took my payment of 34mil, tested me, and I was done. The whole process took less than 30 minutes and everyone was super nice!! I will definitely be doing this the next time I have to.

My wife was flown by medivac helicopter to this hospital. We were supposed to land on the roof but the hospital orderlies refused to show up. Therefore after circling for 20 minutes we had to go to the airport and arrive by ambulance.
It got worse when we arrived at the hospital. They refused to treat my wife until we had paid!!!!
We have travel insurance but the hospital claimed that they had never heard of Allianz (the largest insurer in the world). Allianz had heard of the hospital as they say they have processed thousands of claims from this hospital.
After paying several million colon they finally treated my wife. However they have refused to send our insurer any of the required information. All interactions with hospital admissions have been truly painful. They have refused to help. When this was brought to their attention the lies started. “Ohh, we already sent the information” When it was pointed out that the insurance company had not received it. They said “we are waiting for the doctor, then we can send it”. We get a different story each time we have an interaction with them. This has been going on for 24 hours with no end in sight.
All interactions with the admissions team have been brutal.
I get that people need to paid for providing services. What I don’t get is a hospital where even the doctors and nurses in the ER refuse to help until you prepay. The value placed on lives at Hopital Biblica is limited to their ability to pay. Fortunately I was able to pay.response / report this review -

In my opinion, it’s the best health care provider in Costa Rica. Either for emergency cases or for consults, assistance is almost always immediate. Has some of the best doctors in Costa Rica and has also won several prizes.

Es un poco caro pagar medico porque cuando mi Mamá saco cita le salió un poco caro pero el lugar bonito y con mesitas en el edificio torre omega para descarsar y ver pasar los buses que vienen de las Rutas del sector Sur de la Capital

Highly recommend Dr. Carlos Escalante & his team! Travelled with my mother to Costa Rica from the United States for medical tourism. He performed a laparoscopic hysterectomy on my mother. Speaks excellent English & truly takes the time with patients to explain everything & ensure all questions are answered pre & post operatively. One of the best!!

He tratado todo el día de sacar una cita y es imposible comunicarse con la operadora. Solo sale la máquina y uno debe saber el número de extensión. Mal servicio para comunicarse
