Friendly staff, nice room, great free trail located on site, and the typical breakfast that was included was great.
Modest, multi-family run eco lodge set in the the lush green surroundings of the Arenal volcano. This is an out of the way location, so don't expect Wi-Fi or TVs. But do look forward to getting happily wet and muddy on several hiking excursions through the rainforest (ponchos are provided by the lodge). We took the sky Bridge hike (as of this writing, only 2 of the three bridges were operational. A storm-felled tree took out the other). The lodge is also close to a popular waterfall trail. Depending on the season, the weather on the mountain changes quickly from sunny to high winds to downpour to sunny. Let me tell you though, the sound of the winds and rain are great for sleep! Less luxury and more natural, the lodge really gets the traveler off the grid and in the green of Costa Rica's middle country.
Nice Hotel!
Took tour of rain forest there in June 2016. Owner although w/Parkinson was amazing as our tour guide in his knowledge and conservation of the rain forest. If you are into nature - this is the Palace. Did not stay or eat there so have no reason is of rustic can I lilies.
