Fantastic gelato here. I was told by many to come and visit this shop because of the quality. They were right, and guess what. It was my 1st time ever eating gelato and it was a great experience. I had 2 scoops, 1 mint and chocolate and the other was snickers. WOW!!! So darn creamy and flavorful. The staff in all honesty didn't seem to give a damn about tourists or business, but I couldn't care less, I was not there for them and besides being served my gelato and the flavors I asked for was all I cared about. Was affordable, I think it was 900 colones for 1 scoop and 1200 colones for 2 scoops something like that, if I am wrong, I am not too far off. So don't hesitate, go and try it, you will not be disappointed. When you arrive just tell the guard you are going to eat so he lets you in. It is inside a little Italian gated guarded community, so you will only have access to that area as a visitor. Just park your car outside the gate on the street.

I have never experienced anything like this. We walked in and when my sister asked to sample one flavor, we were refused the right to sample even one flavor. When they see tourists walk in, all they think is money, money, money. Beware. What an embarrassment. It's the only gelato place around so you don't have much of a choice. Supposedly the gelato is good so I guess go for it if you're desperate. Just don't ask for an extra napkin.

We were told by many locals about the authentic Italian gelato here. We tried a few flavors before deciding, but they were all amazing. Super creamy and bursting with flavor. We will definitely be back soon. If you are in or near Potrero, this is a must on your itinerary.
