This place is located in a gorgeous spot with fantastic views. And the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. On the downside, it's a pain to get around the property. It's too far (and all steep hills) to always walk to the restaurant, stables and spa. Instead, you have to call the concierge to have someone pick you up in a golf cart. We spent a lot of time waiting around for a ride. And when we were there, the resort was only 20% full according to one employee!

This place is not a hotel, it's a life changing experience. The luxury and comfort, exquisite service coupled with breathtaking views and fresh pure air make Hacienda Alta Gracia a bucket list destination.

I simply cannot recommend this place enough, it's been absolutely wonderful to stay here and I cannot wait to return.

A celebration for my Sister. I have visited several 5 star resorts here in Costa Rica, and there was something beyond 5 stars here at AltaGracia. The grounds, the accommodations, the staff, the cuisine was all spectacular. If you are an equestrian you will be beyond impressed with the stables, care and the quality here. The spa was beyond superb. Planning a return in May.
