Our best stay in Costa Rica !
After traveling over 2 weeks in Costa Rica from the caraïbian coast to the Pacific, and stopping through the mountains, I can say that our stay at Finca Dikla will remain one of our best memories and definitely the most welcoming lodging we experienced.
First, the location just outside of Turrialba, on the flank of a beautiful mountain, surrounded by the tropical garden and cocoa plants, overlooking the active volcano. No doubt, you are far from the more impersonal, built up and affluent hotels of the Pacific. This feels like real Costa Rica. The peace, rurality and people friendliness of the region made us nostalgic for the rest of our trip.
Second, our host Liliana and her father were incredibly generous and welcoming. They open their door and their table and you feel immediately at ease. The food Liliana prepares is the best we had and it is really nice to have the feeling of home cooked meals after traveling and eating at restaurants all the time. Lilian is fluent in French and English and taught us a lot about agriculture and Costa Rica from a Costa Rican point of view. We had no comparable experience elsewhere, where we typically stay in a hotel organising excursions and staff telling us guide book material stories.
I cannot recommend enough to stay at Finca Dikla and go rafting the river Pascuare. In my opinion, it is moments like those we had at Finca Dikla, which make traveling such a formative life experience.

Très bonne adresse, notre bungalow était grand, 2 chambres avec chacune sa salle de bain, un coin salon, un balcon avec vue à couper le souffle, on pouvait observer écureuils et oiseaux (toucans, cassiques) accueil chaleureux, en français, de Liliana et son papa. Le repas à la table d'hôte est succulent et c'est l'occasion d'échanger avec les propriétaires, sur la vraie vie au Costa Rica. Un très bon souvenir.

Great friendly home stay ! Owners are so friendly, generous and welcome ! The place is amazing in the jungle with great view and many birds. We discovered delicious local bio food. Highly advised this place !

Super maison d'hôte. La famille est très sympathique et les enfants parlent français. La nourriture était typique du Costa Rica et très bonne. Je recommande vivement cette façon très agréable de séjourner au Costa Rica.

Accueil chaleureux de la famille Fuentes dans leur demeure jouissant d'un cadre exceptionnel face au volcan Turrialba.
Chambre à l'étage, terrasse panoramique face au volcan et aux nids des Cassiques de Montezuma, nous nous sommes régalées avec la vue.
Régalées aussi avec un excellent dîner et petit déjeuner entièrement composé de produits de la finca, et que nous avons pris plaisir à partager avec nos hôtes.
Nous avons simplement adoré.
