  If you are looking for kitchen or bath fixtures or lighting then their new store in Heredia has a tremendous selection, mostly mid to high end. Staff was very helpful. They have their own parking lot nearby with free parking with ticket validated in store. I only took a quick look at their tool section so can't really comment.

  "Pulpería" Brenes is the only available hardware-store in Heredia downtown.
  Unfortunately, it is overprice $$$ for what they offer. The lack of knowledge from the staff is well sounded and the lack of hardware that is not the simple item (i.e bulb).
  Still, the staff is courteous and try to help you.
  They still use the vintage vendor's sale style (front-desk and ask what you need).
  The webpage is an amateur design which is useless if you want to buy online. You will find a few objects with a picture and without description and any other useful information. The contact information is the only available info that can be useful.
  If you need to buy with better prices and find most of the items use Construplaza or if you need more specialized material look for EPA. Both of them are big hardware-stores like Home Depot.

  Es la ferretería más completa de Heredia centro. El departamento de pintura es muy completo. Buena atención. Generalmente hay bastante público.

  Excelente atención y una gran variedad de artículos. Es casi imposible que los visites y no consigas lo que estás buscando. Tienen un estacionamiento propio cercano y generalmente te ofrecen ayuda para llevar los artículos que compraste hasta tu vehículo.

  This is a store that usually has everything. It is an old fashioned, go to the counter and get what you need type store so know exactly what you want before you go in. They are usually very busy and wait on people by the number so don't forget to take a ficha. They are extremely accommodating to senior citizens.
