I have done several tours with this company and have no complaints. The last tour was I took was Doka estates and La Paz. Martin and Jorge were great. The bus was new and in great shape.

The trip to Doka Coffee Estates and LaPaz was immensely informative, fun, and inspiring. We booked it through our hotel. Costa Rica is a beautiful place.

Our tour guide Oscar was a great hang, funny and extremely knowledgeable. He took great care to ensure that everyone in the group was taken care of. Maya, the driver, was early to pick us up, and the ride was smooth, which is a feat given the narrow winding mountain roads.

We’ve done similar tours in other countries and this one stacked up in every way. Nothing but good things to say.

I went on the Canopy San Luis Tour today. Because I am 69 and did not want a tour that was strenuous in walking up rain forest trails, this one seemed to fit the bill. NEVER TAKE THESE TOURS. FALSE ADVERTIZING!!! THEY NEVER TOLD ME I HAD TO WALK 3 MILES UPHILL ON RAIN FOREST TRAILS AND DO 12 ZIP LINES - WAY TOO MUCH FOR ME. REFUSED TO HELP ME GET OFF THIS NIGHTMARE and blew me off when I complained.

Here is the description they have on line:
Set into the placid cloud forests of Costa Rica’s Central Valley region, the San Luis canopy tour will take you on an exhilarating and safe adventure through lush, green canopy and across the majestic Rio Cataratitas

    DESCRIPTION: Below
    TOUR INCLUDES: Round Trip Transportation
    • Bilingual guide (English/Spanish)
    • Canopy tour
    • Lunch
    RECOMENDATIONS:
    – Sweater
    – Walking shoes
    – Insect repellent
    BOOK NOW:

Set into the placid cloud forests of Costa Rica’s Central Valley region, the San Luis canopy tour will take you on an exhilarating and safe adventure through lush, green canopy and across the majestic Rio Cataratitas. Carried securely by a system of zip lines, you will soar weightlessly through the expanse of virgin forest that grounds the tour, and find yourself in intimacy with the habitats of Costa Rica’s distinct cloud forest wildlife.

Well, it turned out I ended up doing 12 zip lines and walked about 3 miles up hill on rain forest trails. Every time I asked to get off, I was discouraged and told I would have to walk back. Several others on the tour tried to help me, but the staff was not helpful and I ended up soaking wet and very upset at having to do way more than I had wanted or planned on.
It was a disaster for me.
The guides were not trained to help and get me off, plus the ads said NOTHING about how strenuous this was. I complained at the end, but they blew me OFF. FALSE ADVERTIZING!!!

On Tuesday May 24, 2017 my husband and I went on the tour to see the Arenal volcano and to Tabacon hot springs. Although it was an excellent tour and scenery our driver Oscar was the worst ever our tour guide Hernan was great but the driver was very irresponsible with lives on board. I felt like my life was coming to an end soon. He drove so fast to the volcano sight way over the speed limit which was very unsafe especially when your traveling with other lives on board. We made it safely to the volcano and springs to thank God and had a wonderful relaxing time. On our way back to San Jose he continued to drive recklously and it was dark and VERY foggy to the point where you could not see a thing around not even the car in front of you. This is the point where I truly was praying to God for a safe trip back and fearing my life. As he drove fast around cliffs and very dangerous areas. He supposely hit something and lost control of the bus and hit a hard dirt wall. As my husband and I were sitting in the back we were the ones that were injured the most as it slammed SO HARD into the wall. We had no serious injuries at the time my husband hurt his knee with the chair and I had hurt my leg and back as well. We were offered to go to the hospital but at that time we declined. After we hit the wall he was begged by all the passengers to slow down and take it easy and he still didn't and continued on driving recklously. At this point I was scared and my anxiety kicked in. I just kept praying to make it home safe and quick. He also stopped at a pit station to wash off the dirt and grass so that it wouldn't be noticeable. EVERYONE on that bus was scared at this point. The next day I woke up worst and could barely walk. As our trip came to an end and we were leaving the I had to be transported in the airport with a wheelchair due to the pain. When I got back to the states I went to the doctor and I have a strained groin muscle and my back is also strained. I am on various medications but recovery may take a while and to be able to walk straight again as well. I wanted to let you know so that I can possibly prevent this from happening again to another person with that same irresponsible driver Oscar. I will never forget this as it is still haunting me because that wall could have been a cliff where we could have rolled off and died. I am in pain and recovering I don't wish this on anybody especially if your visiting from far away. I hope something can be done before something serious really happens next time with this man in the driver seat. I get some people drive crazy over there but I had been on buses and cars prior to this and none of them drove as recklous as he did. Thank god there were no children on this tour. My trip was amazing and so is the country but it was a bummer when this bus accident happened and I got injured the way I did. Please be careful with this driver named Oscar he is not safe at all.

DO NOT use this tour guide. TERRIBLE experience. Nearly ripped off for a full day tour on my last day in CR. If it were not for the wonderful receptionist at my hostel I would have been ripped off for $130 US, luckily she gave me a full refund after the manager of the tours company told me he would not.The Manager of the tours company is an unreasonable scumbag. I FULLY ADVISE ANYONE to book with another company!

The tour and tour operator (Eric) was great, but I wouldn't recommend using this company as I won't in the future. They charged me wrong and I had to pay three times for the same tour while waiting for refunds for their mistake. I highly recommend going elsewhere because if you have an issue they are unhelpful.

Complacidaª!
