  Hotel Cypresal is beautiful, and located near adventure parks, restaurants, and plenty of nature to explore. The grounds are lush, with an expansive view of the cities below and surrounding mountains, not to mention an amazing sunset. The cabenas are cozy and clean. Meal offerings at the on-site restaurant are delicious. We found the staff to be incredibly accommodating and kind. The owner, Ronnie, is considerate and helpful. His experienced knowledge of Costa Rica provides reliable suggestions for your stay. His anecdotes are humorous and informative.

  Love this place. SO glad we found it, here on Google Maps, but we called directly, and Ron did a great job getting us hooked up with a reservation on the phone really fast. Now, all we have to do is text him and he has room with a fireplace, on and burning for your arrival, when you ask and be pretty sure of your arrival time. Can't wait to come back and stare at the twinkle of the mix of the 1st and 3rd World Lights across the valley. Miriam was a great server. We will be back next rip for sure.Tell Miriam to keep our seat warm, she did a great job keeping us full of everything we need, very attentive service!!

  I first visited Cypresl more than 18 years go for my first anniversary and it was okay. It had TVs but no cable, the restaurant was open and the food was okay.
  Now, I returned after nearly 20 years and the place has WIFI, cable, GREAT food and it still has that Rustic elegance that I remember.
  I just read some of these comments and I know that they have different levels of rentals there, They have really cheap bunk room etc. that the owners have not remodeled yet, but the room that we stayed in had a SPECTACULAR view, the fireplace worked great and it started with just one match. The WIFI was good enough to watch a movie and it had Tico cable TV. The mattress was very good and the bed was fantastic and was built very solid and made no noise etc.
  We soaked in the mineral spring Jacuzzi and roasted in the sauna and it was wonderful with the cold fresh air.
  I highly recommend Cypresal for anyone wanting to experience a special place with special people in Costa Rica.

  Visité por primera vez Cypresl más de 18 años para mi primer aniversario y estuvo bien. Tenía televisores pero no había cable, el restaurante estaba abierto y la comida estaba bien.
  WIFI, cable, buena comida y todavía lo tiene elegancia rústica como nosotros recuerdo.
  Nosotros habitación tenía una vista espectacular, la chimenea funcionaba El WiFi era lo suficientemente bueno para ver una película y tenía TV por cable Tico. El colchón era muy bueno y la cama era fantástica y estaba construida muy sólida y no hacía ruido, etc.
  Nos mojamos en el jacuzzi mineral de primavera y asamos en la sauna y fue maravilloso con el aire fresco y frío.
  Recomiendo encarecidamente Cypresal a cualquiera que quiera experimentar un lugar especial con gente especial en Costa Rica.
  Buena comida, buena gente y buen ambiente, solo bueno!

  Una verdadera porquería de lugar, humo en las habitaciones, a ver si uno no muere mientras duerme por el humo que se filtra desde las otras habitaciones, control remoto de tv inservible, atención espantosa, cama? Perdón eso no es una cama, es como estar en prision, cama de reo, el colmo, gotera dentro de la habitación, toallas de se desechó

  Definitivamente una estafa Este lugar no es digno de llamarse Hotel. Es un lugar abandonado, perfecto para grabar una película de terror. Cobran como si estuviera hospedándose en el hotel RIU y le dicen a uno que para cenar puede ir al hotel a 50 metros que tiene un restaurante muy bueno Reservé e hice un depósito pero estando ahí dije mejor me voy y no pago más porque ese lugar es un asco. Evidentemente me robaron e depósito Es un lugar atendido por extranjeros, sin ser xenofóbico, pero en Costa Rica se les pone hasta alfombra roja a los extranjeros y estos señores brindan esa atención. No se dejen engañar por la página, es lo único que invierten.

  No tiene agua calienteósea hay q bañarse con aguas congeladas. Y el Hotel está en completo deterioro. Pienso que calificarlo con una estrella es demasiado.
