Massive group dinner of 100 people for a work event. The food was very good from appetizers through dessert. The bag served was a bit more on the average side, but given the sheer numbers was acceptable. The service was great.

I ate here while at a conference. The restaurant handled a group of about 75 very well. The meal, particularly the steaks, were properly cooked and timed with good presentation. I do not like overcooked steak and these were done just right and served hot. Fantastic way to round out the conference. I live in a part of the world that grows some of the best beef and usually stay away from beef when I travel because I am generally disappointed. This meal matched some of the best cooked Western Canadian beef. Well done.

If you are looking for an amazing steak while visiting Costa Rica, there is no place better. This is my favorite steakhouse in Costa Rica and maybe one of my top 10 in the world. You can't go wrong with any dish. They even accommodated my chicken-eating partner and a vegetarian friend.

This restaurant does deserve a five star rating for the food, service, ambience, and even for the pricing. Although not the most economical, they do prepare the food with such a professional presentation and the flavors are well balanced. I ordered their chorizo and bulgur salad. I added an avocado and over easy egg to the steak burger; very much pleased. The restaurant and bathroom had a very clean appearance which contributed to the five star rating I gave. I would come back sporadically so as not to break the bank.

Wow. Excellent service (food arrived promptly and servers were attentive) by any standards. Even though this is a steakhouse the vegetarian pasta was delightful. The meat was soft and savory. A little more expensive but the food was fantastic. Great value.

Doris Metropolitan is perhaps one of the best steak restaurants in the entire country. The cuts of meat are extraordinary and the flavor is comparable to any great steakhouse in the USA. They have a great wine list and the service is outstanding. We always look forward to returning.

This place was delicious! We got there early and it was quiet. They have a very nice patio in back with a kids play area, so kid friendly. They over cooked my medium rare steak but no problem, came out with a delicious perfect rib eye steak. My husband picked out his own t-bone, rare , he said it was perfect. The steaks are USDA. The appetizers, salad, bread, everything was delicious. We got the chocolate souffle- perfect ( don't share-trust me on this one) I also got a perfect latte for after dinner. For a family of 3 it was over $200, we did order a full bottle of Bordeaux. We knew it would be expensive and it was a perfect way to end our 5 month stay in beautiful Costa Rica. The area was super nice too!

One of our go-to restaurants for out-of-town guests, business dinners, and special events. Doris offers a wonderful selection of prime beef, an extensive wine and cocktail menu (with legit bartenders), and is a strong contender for the best hamburger in the country, if that's what you're into.

Add in the friendly and attentive service, and Doris is one of the best restaurants in Costa Rica, and easily the best steakhouse I have found here.
