It is a quite big but still calm hotel with a nice pool area and a good restaurant. However rooms are pretty small but clean. There is a coffee maker in the room but there's only coffee for one cup (plus one decaffeinated). The service in the restaurant was good in the evening but not really for breakfast and the service at the bar took very long - had to call the waiter several times to order.

If anybody is trying to find deals for hotels check ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ booked a hotel on there and these guys had the best rates just about anywhere!

Have stayed in many hotels in San Jose, this is by far the very best. Do not hesitate to book; the property is immaculate, pools are great for kids and adults, and the staff is very warm and accommodating. Highly recommend! We will return many times!

Absolutely amazing place. I’ve visited tons of hotels through my travels. I just completed my second stay at this property and can with confidence say that this is the best hotel I’ve every stayed at. Everyone is friendly and they go above and beyond. The grounds are well kept and beautiful, the view from the Mountain View rooms are amazing, great food and a nice pools.
Although there’s not a lot to see in the direct area around the hotel it’s a great base to explore the Central Valley and beyond. Lots of tours available all over Costa Rica.
It’s also close to the airport but without being bothered by the noice. Perfect location!

Great service. At front-desk, restaurants, room-service, everyone so kind and nice! Beautiful place. Just 2 concerns: The bathroom is not completely private due to translucent door and because the door design doesn't let to close completely. The room art is too comercial and repetitive. Would be nice to have local real art there

Decided to stay at this hotel for a quick getaway. The property is absolutely beautiful and well kept. If you love Spanish style homes (hacienda) this is the perfect hotel for you. The architecture is stunning with attention to detail and style. My room was spacious with a small patio. We (4) adults occupied a double bedroom that was super clean and plenty of space for our belongings. The staff was attentive and quickly responded to all of our requests without hesitation. The hotel has a few restaurants, we frequent two on the ground level. The food is on the pricier side for Costa Rica but definitely worth it. The drinks were amazing and the service is speedy. I was lucky enough to be at the hotel during the Super Bowl. The hotel had a “socially distanced” party on the patios and main lawn that was so much fun and very thoughtful for us Americans and our love for football. In regards to Covid guidelines, I felt extremely safe and saw the hotel being thoroughly cleaned throughout the five days I was there. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown San Jose. Perfect location for city life and a mini oasis in the heart of San Jose.

Really a nice slice of heaven. The staff is amazing and saved our vacation. We left our passports and ALL our vacation cash in the safe in our hotel room after we checked out. We discovered this two hours away and called the resort right away. They asked us to come back and after a stressful two hour drive back security met with us and returned all of our cash and passports. It was amazing the professional manner of the security and loss prevention people working at the hotel. They saved our vacation As this was the first day and place we arrived at. Thanks!!!!

This is an amazing hotel and very close to the airport. We had a first class experience from the time we walked into the hotel till we checked out. Also walkable distance to a small strip mall where there is a am/pm (this is like Seven Eleven in the US) and a great Italian restaurant.

I stayed here at a conference and would return for a personal trip. The setting is lovely. The staff friendly and competent. I had a pool side room and found the short trip the pool perfect for an enjoyable dip.

Where do you even begin? The hotel is perfectly located for those looking to do either a pre tour prep or post tour relax from their excursions through Costa Rica. A few minutes from the airport, with a complementary shuttle, it is ideally located.

The rooms are beautiful and the hotel is perfectly decorated in colonial fashion.

The staff are very friendly, the amenities plenty and the views stunning. The breakfast buffet is extravagant and plentiful.

Nothing in the hotel keeps you wanting.

PS: you can get your rental car here, which is actually a lot more comfortable than organising it from the airport.

This is an island of pure luxury in the middle of the business district of the city. A short walk to a mini mall where they have everything. The hotel is one of the best Marriott I've ever seen. The open-air gives a great Caribbean or Latin feeling. The huge bar with plenty of craft beers and staff that is always right there when you need them. Two dynamite pools and plenty of Lounge furniture with umbrellas and a beautiful waterfall. Don't forget to take your camera to the top floor and get a panoramic view. The rooms lack nothing - huge with plenty of furniture. The gym is super well-equipped and the spa is twice better than you can imagine Don't miss either one. The breakfast buffet is to die for and I don't understand why you never see any flies anywhere but I love it.

With the current level of business development in the area, this hotel is *the* hotel for those who want a place to come back at the end of a long day and restore themselves in the typical Marriott standard of quality.

With very comprehensive services and modern facilities, the price tag is reasonable to Corporate standards and provides an excellent location near to all major business areas.

This place was spectacular, my wife and I stayed 1 night before going to a resort, and it almost felt like a resort instead of a hotel. They've got a driving range, jogging trail, swimming pools hot tubs, gym, and beautiful views of the valley. The employees were helpful with everything, restaurant service was fast but make sure you ask for a receipt they don't just bring it to you. Overall if I had to stay in the capital again it would be here.

We had a one night stay in San Jose’s before our flight left the next morning. We made some spa appointments to pass the time that afternoon. We had facials and a head “massage.” My facial was so so and my head massage turned it to be a real expensive head scratch.

That night there was a wedding at the hotel. The music was blasting til 11pm at least. Felt like the music was in my room it was so loud. Overall a poor experience with very overpriced and lacking services. I told the front desk woman how disappointed I was at the experience and she said nothing. So I’d stay somewhere else if u have an overnight in San Jose Costa Rica. This place wa just as bad as a nice hotel could be.

This property is absolutely beautiful. It is tucked away on a generous amount of land so you dont feel like you're in the city. All the staff are very friendly. Be prepared to spend if you eat at the restaurants or visit the spa, they are on the pricier side. The pool is great, so is the gym. All the food we had was delicious and fresh.

Hotel is very nice and the staff is excellent. However the room was very noisy. We could hear everything happening in the hallway and the room upstairs, especially stuff on the tiles. Maybe a room on the top floor, in the back corner would be nice, but otherwise not worth it.

It was a catered event, a company lunch celebration, hosted and catered by the hotel. The service and the attention were great, the food was glorious and they even had a fully vegan/vegetarian set of meal options(Those have to be discussed beforehand, as they are not one of their default options), the service was nice and the hall was pristine. It is expensive, but it is worth it for a large event.

Beautiful views from the rooms of this hotel built on an historic coffee plantation. The staff are generally helpful and bilingual in Spanish and English. There are in-hotel restaurants and an in- hotel bar with good service and ratings. The rooms are spacious and well- kept. The only drawback was that one of the check-in staff made fun of me when I arrived, exhausted from the flights.

Great hotel and spa. The pools, restaurants and spa were awesome. The peach Palm soup is a must have. Easy hotel shuttle to and from airport. Car rentals available at the hotel.
The staff was helpful and attentive. Getting a room with the executive lounge upgrade was worth it. You get breakfast and dinner as well as snacks through the day.
I highly recomendación the spa. There's a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and a gym side of all the spa services.

Location is very good, near business centers with a medium sized parking lot, and nice green areas with a coffee plantation. Rooms are Marriot style room, clean, comfortable beds and view to green areas or the pool. Service could be better but still works; some people that work at restaurant area are a little mediocre and management favors business centers over guests.

Convenient location close to the airport and surrounded by nature (See pics). Large comfortable rooms with a small balcony. The view to the pool is the prettiest. Has 2 outdoor pools and a jacuzzi. Bufete breakfast is included and they serve a large selection of fruits and warm dishes. Service is good and food is not bad at all. They could make some renovations to the infrastructure but overall a beautiful hotel.

Conveniently located, but more importantly great service. This resort is a definitely an A+ in every aspect"beautiful" is an understatement! Absolutely no complaints!
Make sure to stop by the coffee shop/store and visit Billy. The coffee was good, but the personal service provided by the staff was absolutely over and above. Billy in particular made a huge impression on me. My elderly father was also staying at the Marriott and Billy went out of his way to assure that he was completely satisfiedeven providing a place to take his daily siesta!
    Can't wait to visit again!

This hotel was a very nice surprise. Framed inside the structure of an old coffee estate, the buildings are absolutely breathtaking.
Overall, the place is well maintained and spotless all the time. It's huge and there is a constant flow of people coming and going. It has 5 different restaurant on site, 1 of them 24 hours.
This is definitely a great place to stay in San Jose.

I really loved this hotel stay. I was here for 6 days and I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the staff was. The place is immaculately maintained and the pool area is amazing. My only complaint was the sandwiches at their 24-hour cafe - terrible. The rest of the food service was incredibly tasty and wonderfully presented. The internet speeds are very fast and the rooms, while a little on the older side, are well appointed. It is not cheap to stay here, but I had a great experience. I hope to be back.

Very nice hotel with a nice inner court where you can find a couple of restaurants. The food at the restaurant is fantastic. They host events such weddings is the hotel club which can be noisy at night.

One of the best hotels I've ever been to. The staff is amazing, very courteous quick to address any issue. The view is amazing, the restaurants have great food that is inexpensive, and you're close to a large number of other attractions in the area. Highly recommended!
