This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip. We saw hundreds of dolphins and had an amazing time snorkeling. Phoebe is super friendly and a fantastic guide. The boat has plenty of shade and the snorkel equipment is the best of any boat trip I’ve been on. There are life jackets and noodles to snorkel with for less confident swimmers. It’s a great day out!

changing tide tours is really highly recommended. Phoebe is a biologist which lives her passion by touring in the waters of the golfo dulce. Her passionate and precise explanations will give you a unique opportunity to learn a lot about the amazing nature around you.

I've just returned from an incredible snorkelling tour with Changing Tide Tours on the Gulfo Dulce, absolutely brilliant!

Our main guide was Phoebe (and her gorgeous son) who was extremely knowledgeable and gave the team plenty of interesting facts and information about the wildlife and local area. The boat was skippered by Hans, Marvin and Mario who were a lot of fun and entertained the group throughout the journey.

We saw a couple of bottlenose dolphins near Playa Preciosa then snorkelled in a sheltered bay and spotted numerous tropical fish before jumping back on the boat. Then came the absolute highlight - a school of around 300 spotted dolphins that danced through the water, occasionally jumping high out of the water as if performing for us! Simply wonderful.

    Highly recommended!!!

If you are looking for a unique experience this is the tour for you!!!
You are in the right place, excellent attention, super comfortable  and spacious boat,  they take you to the best places to spot dolphins and to do snorkeling .
Phoebe is an excellent person who will tell you interesting details about the Sweet gulf and everything that lives in it.
I really recommend this tour in the dolphin blanco . It is the best in the Golfo Dulce.

I joined a group tour and at the start of my visit to Costa Rica and the tour vastly exceeded my expectations! The stunning scenery and wildlife are incredible, and the trip to the wildlife refuge was awesome! My guide was Phoebe, and she was so knowledgeable about the Golfo Dulce, i loved it. The fruit was super juicy and perfect for the hot weather. Definitely recommend this tour! It's also great for families, a friend of mine went and the kids loved it! Really great snorkeling to be done, we even saw an endangered sea turtle!

The tour begins at the dock. Phoebe and Fipi are great tour guides. They are very friendly and helpful. Phoebe is an experienced biologist who knows a wealth of information on the whales and dolphins that you will see. We saw baby humpbacks splashing around and hitting the water with their pectoral fins. We took excellent photos and a pod of spotted dolphins swam near the boat. The afternoon was very enjoyable and I could have not asked for a better experience. You will have an experience of a lifetime!

I talked to them months before traveling to arrange joining another group since I was traveling alone. No problem she said, we will contact you closer to your travel date. A week before leaving and I had not heard from them so contacted again. Again I was told no problem and we will call you closer to your dates. I never heard from them again until I complained after returning home. I was then told a child was sick. I can understand your child being sick but if you run a business you need to make sure someone is there to take care of it. I was not able to make last minute arrangements for other tours and so my long anticipated and expensive trip was less than it should have been. If you run a business where there is only one person responsible you should let customers know. I am posting this review so others can decide if they want to make critical vacation plans with a company where if that one person gets sick or a family member gets sick than you are out of luck. Luckily there were other great people and business in Costa Rica and the rest of my reviews and trip were all very positive. I am certain that when she is not sick or a family member is not sick she does a great job. You just have decide if you want to take that risk.
