A beautiful house in a stunning setting. An oasis in the heart of Escazu. Xavier and Pilar are perfect hosts. Their hospitality is second to none. And their breakfasts are legendary.

What a lovely place! We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip to Costa Rica and couldn't recommend it more. It is impeccably clean, with a great shower with good water pressure and a delicious home made breakfast. Our favorite part were the hosts, Pilar and Javier, who were so welcoming, helped us plan the rest of our trip in Costa Rica, kept a bag for us while we were out and about, and were just overall wonderful to talk to. Pura vida!

Excellent location, quiet but walking distance to transport and shopping. Lovely garden and house. I have never seen the dogs mentioned by another reviewer.

Dogs, dirt, mud, high prices, crazy bad accommodations, loud music at night, did I mention the dogs? Stay as far away as possible.

I was born and raised in San José, and have been living in the USA for the last few years. When I was little, I always wanted to stay at La Casa de las Tías. I'm so happy I finally got the chance! The house is gorgeous, the service is impeccable, and breakfast is delicious. Pilar and Xavier are the best!

Highly recomended for those whishing to have a tranquil spot with lots of fauna to watch from the porch drinking coffee. Within blocks, there is take out, a supermarket and more.
