Amazing treasure perched at the foot of Chirripo. One of a kind place with clean and comfy beds and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We spent three nights with our family of 4 (kids 5 & 8) and didn't want to leave.

I stayed here about 8 years ago and just decided to look it up on google maps to see if it still exists. 8 years and many hostels later (all over Central America and Europe) this remains one of my favorite hostels! It's so intimate and super clean and very charming. You feel like you're entering the home of a close friend. The owners did a lot of the work themselves, and they lovingly integrated the nature so beautifully into the indoor spaces .from the beautiful butterflies that fly in one window and out the other to the giant rocks with plush mattresses that serve as natural beds (in the cutest of ways). It's super close to the start of the hike to Chirripo peak, and I stayed here bc it was the closest spot to start my hike up. This is one darn cute hostel!

Beautiful hostel! It is located steps away from the entrance of Chirripo. The staff is very kind and helpful. The space is calming, beautiful, charming -- absolutely loved our time here and would stay here again! :)

A home away from home. John and Jill are warm, welcoming and full of intriguing stories. They invite you into their home and they are so informative about the area. The mountain was fully booked so we were unable to hike, but this experience was one of our fondest and that is due to both the beautiful scenery and John and Jill's hospitality!

We stayed there the night before our Chirripo climb. The guesthouse was exactly what we needed: A quiet, comfortable place to get a good night's sleep before we began our hike. The owners gave us great advice and lent us clothes that we might need. They stored our bags for us and even were friendly when came back in mud-soaked and exhausted. The beds in the dorm were comfortable and clean and the bathroom was clean, too. I would highly recommend this place.

I beautiful little hostel with a dorm and private rooms of various sizes. The staff was very helpful, generous, and hard working.
