I think their coffee was the best I’ve ever had!! Such a great place and the chocolate is fantastic I spent way too much on those two items. Sandwich and smoothies are just as good, best place in Puerto Viejo.

If you looking for high quality food this is the place to be. Very friendly and helpful staff. They really do know what they are doing and produce high quality food in a amazing speed. You have to go there if you are in (Old Harbour) puerto viejo.

My husband and I recently took the chocolate tour. It was fantastic! We learned so much about chocolate production (from bean to bar) all while taking a lovely and relaxing walk that included a beautiful view and tastings of fresh cacao fruit, chocolate and other goodies (chocolate combined with coffee, cinnamon etc.) Paul the owner and guide's discussion was informative about chocolate but also about sustainable practices for the land and for the employees of Caribeans. I was inspired by his story. I recommend that everyone visit the cafe to have food or drinks and do the tour. The chocolate is delicious and perfect for souvenirs and gifts.

A must visit for chocolate lovers. Jeff’s informative and entertaining tour along the ”mango Walk” about the history of cacao trees in the region, tasting raw Cocoa beans to the final product: different types of artisan locally produced chocolate bars, mixing our own flavors, enjoying a marvellous view from the mountain top, we even had the luck to see sloths, eye lash viper, monkeys and tucans along the jungle walk. To get the full picture of chocolate how it is produced from bean to bar was great. Keep Up the great work you are doing and we Will definitely spread the word. Slow is Good :)

I highly recommend their chocolate tour! You won't be disappointed. It is a must stop for any tourist in the area. The drinks are wonderful and there are lots of free chocolate samples! It is the best chocolate in the country!

We took the cacao tour and had a very nice time. Jeff walked us through the entire process with lots of educationally guided tastings along the way. Very friendly and down to earth.
Before the tour we had a drink and a brownie which bordered on life changing.
Extremely well priced local chocolate with generous free samples.

This place had some of the best chocolate I have ever had! The tour was awesome.. very informative but also great scenery and lots of chocolate! Well worth the cost of admission.. also, try their mochachino!

Tours don't run on Wednesday, just an FYI. Review for coffee shop: Really felt like I was interrupting the barista by ordering a coffee. She was very uninterested in answering any questions. Coffee was okay, but nothing too special.

I love their coffee beans. Looking up a way to order and ship to Canada as they were the richest in taste and aroma among other regions in which I tried beans in my Costa Rica/Panama trip.

No frills epicurian bliss

World class coffee and chocolate!!!

Their brownie is fudgy perfection.
I had the hummus sandwich with a side fo fresh fruit with cacao nibs, a frothy capuccino and the brownie with vanilla ice cream.

I nearly died of happiness while sampling some of their chocolates that they store in a nicely air conditioned room. Some of the chocolate is labeled depending of the cocoa farm the chocolate is from, that's pretty awesome.

*We came back before trekking back to reality Their cold capuccino is deliciously strong and the pumpkin muffin is to die for Really Pumpkin!

Awesome coffee and smoothies. Cappuccino right up there with the best Seattle, Venetian, Milan cafes: strong yet smooth, perfect foam. Kara had several pineapple smoothies in the week we were in Cocles, really liked them. Love the folks who work there and run the shop.

Awesome coffee and smoothies. Had a cappuccino, a double Americano with a little honey; Kara shared a little of her pineapple smoothie, but not a lot. I understand: it was a really good smoothie. ;)

The tours was actually really interesting and fun! Great to hear the owners story, and hear about how hey are contributing to the local community. Chocolate was really good as well. We also saw sloths, toucan, and poison dart frogs on the hike to the top!

Excellent tour with Paul. I highly recommend it. The chocolate is marvelous. It's a little bit of a hike, but he stops frequently so it's pretty comfortable for everyone. Otherwise stop for a brownie and a mochachino. Seriously though, the brownies are awesome.

The products sold are from a premium quality, BUT if you get here don't hesitate to do the tour. Jeff did an amazing work, he explained us his experience in a funny and cool way. You'll be able to taste the cacao beans and discover all the process.

They have he best coffee in Costa Rica. Seriously! I will come back to Puerto Viejo just to drink their coffee and eat brownie cake, it was amazing cake. I will never forget the taste of it. Great job guys. With love from Canada.
