The most beautiful camping sit in Costa Rica. The host is incredibly friendly. He really wants you to have a great time here. Everything is clean and the atmosphere is super cozy. At night they through colorful lights on the trees. Its magical. We also loved the area. You should definitely come here and check it out. 🧚

Friendly and well organised. Fully equiped and big spaces full of shade. Reason they don't get 5 stars is I feel they could do something about the toilets and showers. Most of time occupied, but high season. 😊

The location for this caping is very convenient. It's only 5 minutes away from Playa Santa Teresa and 5 from playa Cuevas Natural Reserve. The campground is clean with several restrooms that are kept in desent condition. Forget about the beachfront. You will only find razor blade sharp rocks. You would have to walk to the left on the beachfront for about a mile to find Playa Mar Azul where you will find a small beach where you can actually get in. There is also a natural 'jacuzzy' on the rocks that is pretty cool there. Be extremely careful surfing as there are razor blade rocks all over the region. I would not even try it. I had to take my German friend to the emergency room after he landed on his face and cut his chin really bad. Seven stiches and $100 on our very last day. The doctor told us horror stories about tourists being slashed by the rocks. There is a lot kitchen with gas stoves and dishes for anyone to use. If you drive at the end of the road, you will find a fisherie where you can buy fresh fish from a guy called Tortilla. Try a black tuna with soy sauce! I met some world class travelers here like a guy from Canada who dives for lobster for a living and an Argentinian guy who lives in his WW car. Just use this place as a home base and explore throughout the day.

Great place for camping in front of the ocean. Great for Families, quiet. Campsite equipped with a kitchen, tables, hammocks, TV in common room, palm trees all around the campsite, parking, outlets in several trees all around the site, 3 restrooms with showers and toilets spread out.. very nice and helpful staff to accommodate you.. bring your own grill if you wanna BBQ everything else they have like a kitchen to cook, refrigerators as well..👌

Awesome place directly at the Beach, with lots of palm trees to give shadow. The owner is very friendly and working all day to keep his place nice and clean.

What an amazing place to camp this is. The campsite has absolutely everything you need to have an amazing time in Mal Pais. It has a full kitchen with everything you need to prepare your meals, four refrigerators and three or four gas stoves. It also has two bathrooms and two showers that are cleaned daily, electricity outlets and lamps all over the campsite and a wifi signal that reaches throughout the entire campground as well. You are right in front of the beach, where everyday you get to see some of the most amazing sunsets. Willy, the owner is such an amazing guy, very helpful and knowledgeable, he's such a great dude, he even cooked for us several times. The campsite is very safe, there is always someone around keeping an eye on things, which gives you peace of mind to just get up and go. You are a beautiful 30 minute walk along side the ocean from Playa Carmen, a 5 to 10 minute drive from Santa Teresa and a 30 minute drive to Montezuma Beach. I really can't say enough about this place, we were supposed to stay two days and ended up staying two weeks. For 3000 Colones you get absolutely everything you need to have an amazing time camping. We truly loved our stay here and we highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Perfecto. Es un buen lugar, limpio y esta orilla de mar. Los atardeceres son mágicos y el local está equipado con las comodidades que uno busca. Hasta WiFi ofrecen. Definitivamente regresaré aquí!!

This is a great camping location!
Willy the owner is a great guy, help with anything you need. You can take the bicycle to town, there are two showers, two toilets, full equipped kitchen, and great sunsets.
Every few days a guy clean the property and shuffling leaves.
We paid 3000 colones for a person. If you don't have a tent he can give you one, as well as mattress, pillows, sheets. There is also electricity outlets all around the area and light for every spot.
I would come here again. Its not a five star resort but its a hell of alot cheaper the the hotels in the area.report this review -

Great campground, safe and has everything you need AND RIGHT ON THE BEACH. There are 2 restrooms and 2 showers. A shared kitchen with microwaves, fridges and stoves including kitchen utensils. The owner is a great guy that takes care of his guests. There are also electrical outlets everywhere and lamps.

Wonderful little campground. There is not room for a lot of people, so it was very quiet. Right by the ocean and light and outlets provided at each campground spot. There is wifi, showers and restrooms as well. The camp owners play local music at night from a stereo system in the office. It was ¢3/person! Great time!
