Tour Guides Alvaro (“Eagle Eye”) and Francisco were amazing! We loved this tour because we got to see the sloths in their natural habitat as opposed to in captivity. Francisco was super knowledgeable about the sloths and the area around. 10/10 would recommend!

we went with a party of 6, including 2 older people. it was a nice tour and we saw 5 or 6 sloths and some cool birds and awesome insects. the guide was patient and brought a telescope to see things way up high. however, the sloths are wild animals and you cant control where theyll be. we did the chocolate & coffee tour as well. the owner suggested a hot spring for us to go to and was able to sell us vouchers to get in cheaper. the chocolate making process was fun & we got to see one of the most amazing gardens i’ve seen in costa rica so far. definitely recommend if you have some hours to kill in La Fortuna.

This place was great! They said they have about 14 sloths in the park and we saw a total of 9 of them! Our guide took a telescope so we were able to see them super well and he helped us take great pictures with our phones. We were in Costa Rica for 10 days and this was the only place we were able to see sloths! Also saw a beautiful toucan on the hunt and some other animals. So much fun!

Decided to do a walk around without a tour guide, was fun trying to find sloths for the first bit, though was pretty difficult overall. I came in expecting a fair amount of sloths (20+) since it is marked solely for sloths. I did appreciate one of the guides showing us a sloth in a nearby tree so we know what to look for.

Some improvements they could make:

1) Change the map to correlate with the signs or vice versa. There were marked number signs but no numbers on the map, very confusing. There were multiple exit signs that did NOT lead to the entrance we came in but one on the other side of the park. That gave us a huge detour.

2) Lend out binoculars to see the sloths, even charging a holding fee and get a refund when you bring back the binoculars in good shape. These animals are way up high!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! This was the absolute highlight of our entire trip! Andres and Kevin helped us take incredible professional photos of all of our sightings and demonstrated a real love and respect for all the animals as well as incredible knowledge of each species. We also saw Toucans, all kinds of birds and frogs! The Food was excellent!! Don´t miss it!
