I can't believe how these guys rip you off. Do not buy any of the stuff from the store, they're over 100% overpriced. It's a lot cheaper to pick them up anywhere else.

Worst part of all this was that the staff promises you that it's cheaper than stores.

The tour itself is one of the best I've done, it's fun. The brand of coffee belongs to a huge multinational company, they purchase to local farmers to a not fair price and we have better coffee options to drink. But the tour is great

The Tour is short but very entertaining the guides are very funny and the place is small but nice. Compared to similar tours that show in more detail the process to grow, keep and harvest the coffee plants Cafe Britt shows other aspects of the industry like roasting, blending and tasting and it complements them well. The tour can be a bit expensive but the easy access of the place by bus or car, makes it a good option to try something different or to add it to a trip to other attractions like the Barva Volcano or La Paz Waterfalls.

Great place to have a cup of coffee. You can also try different types of Britt coffee and some of their chocolates. Gift shop is great, almost like the ones at the airport but much cheaper.

Good fun and educational. The actors are a hoot and the coffee is delicious. The prices in the gift shop are half the price you'll find in other locales.

Completely overpriced tour, clear example of a tourist trap. The place is nice but we actually didn't see anything related to the coffee process apart from coffee plants and coffee seeds. The only positive point was that the guide was funny.

The tour lasts around 1h10min and the rest is shopping at their shop whose prices are quite high. At the shop we could try coffee and chocolate for free

Employees were awesome and talented, however little education was gained from the experience. Free coffee tasters was a perk, but they need to improve the tour for the cost.

The place is cool, the tour was hysterical as the guides have great charismatic personalities. The gift shop has a great selection of course, and you can buy a fantastic Praline Brittle Cold Brew. I think the admission is way too pricy though. I would recommend skipping this tour based SOLELY on that admission price. Otherwise, I enjoyed this place!

The guides did a great job with both Spanish and English on the tour.

They should prepare umbrellas for the tours in the rain. Even though the tour conducters had umbrellas, the customers including me were not offered an umbrella. The tour itself was advertisement of the Britt coffee so if you look for usedul information about coffee, it's not for you.

Perfect for coffee newbies.
If you don't know much about the process of growing, harvesting, and roasting coffee then you will enjoy the tour. Be sure to call ahead to make reservations or you may have to wait for the next tour. Cafe has plenty of drink options. Gift shop has some great samples. Butterfly garden is a must for the kids even if you skip the tour!

I had a completely amazing time at this tour. The guides were funny, but REALLY know a tremendous amount about the entire process, from planting, to field work, to history, to the actual roasting process. They walk you through a couple-acre plantation to give you an idea of what a coffee field looks and feels like. They also give tons of opportunities to try different coffees from different regions around Costa Rica. I would highly recommend this tour - I will be back. 5-stars!

I was actually there several years ago. I really enjoyed the tour and the people were funny. The coffee was amazing! There's only one thing I have negative – we went to the coffee shop and I purchased a French press coffee maker. And the gentleman went back in the back and got me the French press coffee maker that was in a box. When I got home the French press would not work because the glass had a flaw in it and you could not put the plunger down. And of course being from Ohio I could not take it back.

The tour was very funny and informative. The tandem tour guides had a great banter that kept the tour moving and interesting and the tour was also very interactive, inviting audience participation and opportunity to partake in a charming coffee tasting set up like a cooking show.

The best experience however came after the tour. I left my camera on the tour by mistake. I put it down and forgot to pick it back up. It was a two days before I noticed and I had already returned to the US. I called Cafe Britt and informed them. They were extremely eager to help. Luckily another tour had found the camera and turned it in. Within a week Cafe Britt had shipped the camera back to me, in the exact same condition I had left it, free of charge.

We just did this tour a few hours ago, what a blast. The two hosts were amazing and truly funny. The best part is after the tour you can purchase the coffee at an almost 30% discount and get free items for purchasing in bulk. I walked out with a year's worth of coffee for $68 and got a bunch of free coffee.
