So overall this is a great hotel. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to be helpful. They are in the middle of renovations, the newly renovated rooms are great, the not renovated rooms are dated.

The location is great, there is a nearby plaza with a bank, grocery store, clothing stores, and other little shops. Walmart is just down the road as well.

One thing you need to know, there is a club nearby, and we were woken up at 1am every morning to music so loud we could feel it. This went on until 3am or later, which is a bit frustrating to say the least.

The breakfast was great, a mix of traditional Costa Rican food with some cereal, toast, and fruit.

The grounds are beautiful! My children loved hunting for lizards (they're everywhere), watching the birds, and were especially excited to see a family of howler monkeys playing in the trees one morning!! The staff works hard to keep the grounds looking good and it's evident.

The pool is area is a lot of fun, they aren't heated but when it's 36° outside that just didn't matter!

The hotel itself is great, we would return for sure if it wasn't for the nearby club. Being kept up in the middle of the night just isn't fun.

Great facility. Food great. Receptionist and one waitress had a poor understanding of our English and our Spanish so when ordering te frio melacotone we got toast with olive oil and tomatoes and when trying to schedule the shuttle to the airport we were told there wasn't one. We will stay there again but will practice our Spanish. It's our fault not theirs.

This place has queen beds instead of doubles, which is really nice for a family of four. Beautiful entrance and lobby. Good breakfast. No problems with check-in or check-out.

The room is basic, nothing special, mediocre furnishings, but that's a low priority for us. It was clean, had working ac, and a decent shower.

Hotel is a little older but my room was contemporary and very clean with a nice mattress. Buffet breakfast was fantastic and above average. Excellent location for exploring the area with many beaches within 30 minutes.

Clean rooms. Nice staff. Breakfast offered is not that good. That being said the restaurant here has a really good Italian menu. Fresh pasta. Prices were very reasonable. The fitness room was closed due to leaking roof (hurricane Nate). Nice pool and grounds. There is a pond behind the bar (Rancho) with abundant wildlife. Actually saw a 8' crocodile both days sunning itself on the dock. Way cool! $77 bucks for two persons a night (low season).

Our room was lovely and clean. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The rate was reasonable. What's not to like? Would definitely stay there again. Very close to the airport and city.

Convenient, comfortable and beautiful. Not the most luxurious, but perfectly adequate rooms with air-conditioning, clean bathrooms TV and Wifi. Excellent breakfast included - late dinner a little more miss than hit. Some language issues, but staff friendly and accommodating. Management not so much - not helpful resolving credit card issue (bad chip reader no printer paper) until pressed hard and then bad attitude.

Casino small but fun (I won a little), and like almost every bartender encountered in CR in two weeks, ours needed lessons. Early risers should walk through botanical garden to the pond and catch the bird life or visit very well equipped fitness center. Excellent rooms and facilities for business meetings or seminars. Little pricey unless you shop hard for online deals. Close to Liberia Int'l airport and convenient to shopping and transportation. Good spot to stop on the way to or from your destination.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The staff was great. The rooms were dated, but comfortable. Don't look for extra plugs 😀 But the noise from the bar and restaurants was horrendous. It was at least livable during the week, the music and "boom boom boom" if the base started about 10pm, and ended about 5am, but earplugs helped. Then the weekend. The casino on-site and another bar/restaurant kicked in, and sleep was impossible. I enjoyed the place, and wish I could go back, 3 stars for the hotel, but can only give it one star, if you expect to sleep. Not the hotel's fault, that's why I feel bad. When I complained, they offered to call the police, but they said the laws in Liberia allowed the noise. Oh well. A perfectly good hotel, useless. I will definitely go back to Costa Rica, which was fantastic, but never to this hotel 😟

Basic rooms with a surprisingly nice pool area near Liberia Airport. The facilities themselves aren't much to write home about (though the pool and restaurant are nicer than you might expect). Rooms can be loud, depending on where you are, and the surrounding area isn't that attractive given that it's mostly filled with American fast food franchises. That said, if you're looking for a cheap place to stay that's close to Liberia airport then this may be your best option.

Great experience for a 4 star hotel. Everything clean, handy, well tjought out. Friendly and quiet staff. Except for some disco nearby producing a "bum bum bum bum" noise all night. Consider it was Tuesday and it stopped 4 am.

I do NOT recommend this hotel!!! Our family got absolutely no sleep because of the loud night club directly across the street called Rock Ice. The night club played booming music until 5:00am, at which point we had to get up to catch an early forming flight. The front desk was sympathetic to our frustration, and they called the police twice. When the police showed up to ask the owners of Rock Ice to turn down their music, it looked liked they were all laughing and having a good time (laughing at our request?) - almost as if it was not the first time they had been called, and they were using the call as an excuse to socialize and hang out. The local police seemed ineffective, as was the manager of Best Western, who was not on the premises for the 24 hours we were there.
