Great quality food, some of the best Ive had in Costa Rica. A bit pricey though, doesn't take card and has a horrible USD -> CRC exchange rate, so be aware

It's one of the best places in Santa Teresa. The food is spectacular and the cocktails are great. My personal highlight are the guys behind the bar. They are open, friendly, humorous - simply awesome. Only for them I would come every time again.

I thoroughly enjoyed Banana Beach. My 1st experience was at night time.. I was lounging on a comfy outdoor bed having a good time with some new friends. Second time was in the day. It was GORGEOUS! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Great spot to sit and people watch. Excellent food. Make sure you try the shrimp taco. However, it's the staff that really make this place. So friendly, you might not want to leave.

This bar was the coolest one I've been into in Santa Teresa. The best day to go there is on Wednesdays. I also went there on a Friday, but it was way quieter.

Awesome location for a live band and drinks on the sandy beach! They have lots of tables, hammocks and lounge chairs to have food/drinks and to sit amongst the crabs. The best possible location!

Beautiful beach location, good drink variety, live music or a DJ is common. If you're out for a good time and not sure what to do, it's a good place to start an evening with a cold drink while you watch the sun set.

The location obviously doesn't get any better. The staff is really nice and prompt, and the food is insane! I highly recommend the sesame seared tuna and the ceviche. We ate here every day once we found it.

I really enjoyed this location specially for the sunsets, I'll have to visit again since I noticed that service wasn't the greatest even in a slow afternoon.If you are not staying at the hotel parking access is through a bumpy road before Villa Bonita Dr.

Great spot to wind down and relax. The prices are slightly elevated but then again, it's one of the only hotspot beach restos. We had the whole grilled fish (yum) and fish with almonds (double yum). They have a feisty fire show after hours and great hammocks to doze off on.

A total blast. Great food (loved the Shrimp tacos) and drinks (some say the marguaritas others say the mojitos) but on top of great food and personable service, you're sitting in an outdoor restaurant, feet in the sand watching surfers cut up the surf and the sunset into the Pacific. The management should be very proud of Lucia who is a wonderful representative of a fantastic place.

Pretty good food, the nicest part is being beachfront. Some of the servers can be difficult, we were staying at the Banana Beach Bungalows and were given some not so great looks when we asked for the food to be taken to the pool. It's not far, probably equal distance as some of their tables on the beach. Drinks were good, overall nice looking place. But once again, a little turned off by some of the staff. Sometimes you'll get severed by multiple people which can make it difficult to dine. Some of the severs and one of the female bartenders (short hair, speaks English) are amazing and make up for the incompetence of their peers. Also note this place is cash only as are most places in Santa Theresa/Mal Pais. It's beneficial to get your American dollars exchanged into colones as some places will give you a lower exchange rate when using USD.

This is the best beach bar/restaurant I have ever seen, anywhere.

Huge palm trees, plus some other structures provide a nice share. Besides the tables there are also hammocks, and other fun things like table tennis, beach volley area, , all of right next to the beach and with amazing views of the sunset.

There is live music and DJs which help give it an incomparable vibe.

Contrails / smoothies are also good. Didn't try any of the food.

We came here for Christmas evening. Despite the brief power cut the service was amazing. Our party was almost 20 and the food all arrived at the same time and was delicious. Great location!
