  Staying at the Arenal Volcano Hotel was by far the best place we stayed in all of Costa Rica. It was clean, well lit, very comfortable, had good WiFi, hot water, excellent food and exemplary customer service. We mostly spoke with a man named Milton and he was the most gracious of hosts. He and his family speak wonderful English and are very pleasant to talk to and will help you with planning your day trips as well. There are so many good things I can say about this hotel, but I would run out of room. Ah! Speaking of rooms, they have great rates for the high and low seasons-just one more reason to love Arenal Volcano Hotel.

  Wifi don’t work in every room, not much to do at the location itself and you need a car. On site restaurant is very ordinary and you get charge an extra 10% service charge on the room bill ?

  The staff is exceptional friendly and very helpful.
  
  Due to the location next to the street this Lodge is a bit noisy. The rooms are also not very soundproof, you hear everthing from your neighbour. The rooms could be more clean, especiall in the bathroom. The breakfast ist boring, Scrambeld eggs, toast and marmelade, some fruits. We asked for Joguhrt, fruits and Granola and got it. Why not offer it in the first way or give the guest the option to chose what they would like to have for breakfast. The people only rent the property and are not investing into it. Many things could be done nicer.

  Very top place. Each room has lakeside view patio, complete with hanging swinging chair. Big Room, very nice and friendly owners. They did our huge laundry, just for voluntary tip! Solid breakfast. And they have three very nice inhouse parrots as well.

  The outside view right as you come out of your room is astonishing. The rooms are small, but comfy. King size beds. Nice bathrooms. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Good location. The only issue I have encountered was the steep entrance to the location which can make manual rental cars hard to get across with.

  We had an excellent stay. Edwin was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great visit. The rooms were clean and up to a fine standard. The restaurant on the property had great food with very reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend a stay here. 5 star hospitality.
