We loved our trip to Andaz! The resort is beautiful and amenities are excellent. The beach onsite is small but the boat/shuttle to the larger beach makes up for it.
We got the all inclusive package and it was extra nice to not worry about the cost of food or drinks and we ate and drank A LOT because it was ALL SO DELICIOUS!!!
We enjoyed a few excursions: the nature tour with Johnny (outstanding) and a day trip to the volcano for horse back riding/zip lining/other adventures (SO fun!).
COVID precautions were endless and appreciated, and we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation.
Highly recommend!

Phenomenal in every sense of the word. The staff is friendly and eager to assist, the property is stunning, and the attention to detail is appreciated. I highly recommend taking the complimentary boat to their more secluded beach - it’s expansive and breathtakingly beautiful. I cannot recommend this place more highly!

Paradise. My wife and I decided to experience our honeymoon at the Andaz and it was everything we imaged a honeymoon to be and so much more. The staff were honestly some of the nicest people we have ever met. The food was delicious. The resort was absolutely beautiful. And the property was very clean and COVID safe!

This resort is incredible! I was blown away by the kindness of the staff, the views, and the actives they offer. Daniel, Laura and Mauricio were wonderful at the front desk and made my check in experience so easy. The food was delicious. I wish I had more meals there. I wish I could've gotten the names of all my servers, but Jonathan and Wilmer specifically were so attentive and fun. Highly, highly recommend this resort! Not to mention getting a COVID test was SO easy and quick!

We stayed four nights in a king bed room. The room was very nice, spacious, well furnished. Great balcony with a partial view of the bay. Customer service had a few hiccups and confusion mostly related to our car and valet, but our last night they were doing some extremely loud construction directly above our room, we had to call to ask them to stop which they eventually did. Not sure if they were just done for the night or they stopped at our request, they should not have booked this room if they need to do such major construction near it. The breakfast buffet was good, standard resort breakfast, but it is not included and they charge as if they are serving steak for breakfast. Overall the stay was extremely pleasant but not flawless

We have traveled extensively as a family over the past 10 years. In 2018, we decided to travel to Costa Rica, and since we had accumulated Hyatt points, we selected the Andaz. We could not have been happier with our choice. I rarely use points for stays, but we were so happy with this choice! Coming back I would happily pay for the stay, as it is worth it. This is truly one of the best resorts we have stayed at anywhere on the globe, and the February weather was awesome. I highly recommend selecting the Andaz Papagayo as your vacation destination in Costa Rica.

This place is truly wonderful. The setting is stunning, the rooms modern and comfortable, the food is fresh and delicious, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We spent several of our days at the Beach House, a very quick ride from the hotel, beautiful view, private beach with its own restaurant. Pura vida, as they say!

I have stayed at world class resorts all over the globe, and this place was a cut above all the rest. The setting, the ambience, and the service was just perfect.

We were there a week, but didn't discover the Beach House until the last day. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, as we might not have done anything else had we discovered it at the onset of our trip!

While it is of course pretty spendy, my only wish was that the menu could have been a little more expansive. Perhaps it's because we stayed so long that the choices seemed limited after a while, but it would have been nice to have more options to choose from.

A special shout out to Laura at the front. We had a minor medical snafu and she was absolutely fantastic in helping us navigate the issue. Thank you for your help.

A STRONG five stars from us and we will be back in the future.

Awesome service! The views are beautiful, the room is excellent! Everything was 5 star for sure. The only thing to be aware of is the prices are high for every meal. You get to see monkeys right on the resort! Can choose to go to the beach or pool, both amazing! Workers are wonderful!

I am in the service industry and I have to tell you these guys go over and above to make sure the guest is the most important thing about your trip. A special acknowledgement needs to go out to Harrison for paying attention when a guest was slightly perturbed and going above and beyond to make sure they felt valued. When my wife and I return we'll be staying here.

This is the best place to visit in Costa Rica. We had our wedding at the Beach house. The staff of the resort are extremely helpful and friendly. They really take care of you and want to ensure you are happy. The food is so fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you Andaz💛💙💜💚❤

Amazing manager!!! Thank you Marine for making us feel at home! We had a slight incident on our first day and were looking into moving to Four seasons (which is next door) until we met Marine! Excellent food at both hotel restaurants we visited as well as the Andaz beach club. All staff we dealt with were outstanding in terms of the service provided and their friendliness. The hotel and beach club settings are beautiful with plenty of animal sightings.

It's a beautiful resort but it need little attention to details to call itself a 5 stars resort.
Staff were amazing, very polite, room and hotel ground were beautiful. Internet connection is pretty bad, we got disconnected every 5-10 mins also. Bought a spa package but every time we used the spa, they ask me to pay for the treatment. In the spa package we supposed to get 20% off on other services that we decide to use, also need to tell them that because they try to charge me full price. Everyday with breakfast also, when our room price is breakfast included.
Did bring these issues to the attention of the management and they did try to rectify it.

A beautiful resort! Everything was clean and very well organized. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. The resort is further away from the action and excursions, but this was a plus for me. I personally wanted a resort where I could go into town when I wanted to be busy, but then retreat at night to peaceful surroundings. I would definitely go back!

Absolutely amazing! I have been to Costa Rica many times and have experienced several hotels, beaches and restaurants. This was one of the best, if not the best resort I've ever visited. The service is professional and unpretentious. The food was delicious at all of the restaurants. The resort allows kids, but it never got annoying because they have designated areas and classes to keep them busy. Adult activities, such as hiking and cooking classes were a lot of fun and I am typically not into that kind of thing. The resort is beautifully designed and located in the wilderness, like you may bump into a bunch of monkeys, or giant iguanas, on your way to breakfast. Very relaxing and luxurious experience!

This resort is amazing. The service was top notch. I would definitely recommend the Barista class if you go. Also try out the Prieta beach club. They have a bunch of pools, comfy beach chairs and a hot tub. We can't wait to go back.

This place is amazing! No detail was left out. We felt taken care of the minute we arrived until the minute we left. Never had a bad meal and service was impeccable. Rooms are spacious and modern with outdoor patio. The whole property is in harmony with nature. The 2 beaches are breath taking and in natural setting. Just breathtaking. So many things to do at the resort and else where. Very friendly place where I was able to learn about the culture of Costa Rica and even took a Spanish class in the afternoon. My 17 year old son was kept busy with lots of activities including a barista and mixology class. Looking forward to returning next year!

I have been to he Andaz on three separate occasions. It is magical every time. The beach is amazing and hidden with easy paddle board and kayak rentals. The layout is fun making each building feel almost secluded. The food at any of the three restaurants is world class. The facilities and pools are some of the best I have ever been to. That's why I have kept coming back. It is great for kids. It is great for adults. It is magical.

Perfect for sun and relaxation. The hotel is very secluded and spread out, so it never feels crowded. The property is also full of wildlife, such as monkeys, iguanas, deer and coati, which you'll see throughout your stay. The service was impeccable. The rooms manager, Harrison, was always checking in with us and making sure everything was amazing. Having stayed at other Andaz resorts, I would have to say this has been the best experience to date.
