Great vibe. The staff are friendly and the hostel has a very social vibe. Food is great but a little expensive. There’s a full kitchen upstairs that you could use to make your own food. Market is about a 10 minute walk.
Stayed one night in a 4 bed dorm ensuite. It was fine. The shower has one temperature only, which could be considered cold but it’s warm in Santa Marta so it shouldn’t be a problem after a long day or to cool down.
Also came back for a couple nights (after an overnight trip to Minca) in a private room. I believe it was the superior private ensuite. Difference between that and the deluxe is a TV in the room, which I didn’t need or use but it was the only private room available. Room was clean and bed was comfy.
Only downside is it’s far from the city center and most things but I really enjoyed this hostel and would recommend it.response / report this review -

Clean rooms with bathroom inside. Good facilities with a pool and lounge area. Stays loud pretty late though.

Once i said that The Best hostel was El viajero, But now that i knew dreamers, wow! Just, wow! This is amazing, good pool, good People, and pretty good rooms.

Really really can't find anything wrong with this hostal.
I've stayed in a private room and dorms on two different occasions.
The only issue I had with the dorms were the people who were pretty noisy.
The private room was fantastic, great a/c and we'll presented room.
The staff are fantastic here also, making sure you're happy every step of the way, I couldn't have asked for more!response / report this review -

This is the place to stay i have never seen a hostel so clean.. the restaurant is awesome, also rhe kitchen where you can cook your own food and what about the staff.. they are totally awesome people focus on people to have fun, i really love these guys!

This place is the best! I was in Colombia for almost three weeks and stayed in hostels for the majority of my trip, and The Dreamer is hands down the best. Very social and friendly crowd, good breakfast and the pool is a sweet touch especially at night with the music. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, which I feel is extremely important! I stayed in a private room with no AC, so it took a while to fall asleep with just a fan but it was a good sleep nonetheless. The showers are cold, though!

One of the best (if not the best) hostel in South America in my opinion. Great place to meet people and enjoy the place. Bar and restaurant in the hostel and they arrange tours and transport to many destinations. Very clean and very helpful staff. Second time here.

Came here and loved it. Missed the legendary Jeff Jameson by a day though. He was chillin on the same hammock … unbelievable.
