Great for kids and adults. There are many species of monkeys. One Asian elephant and one white tiger. My 3 years old son was very excited feeding the parakeets. Nice place to spend a couple of hours.

I really hate to rate it so low because it could be so nice with the proper upkeep. It is quite depressing, ostrich has pulled allot of his own feathers and seemed out of it. Elephant seems lonely, a monkey was pressed up against the glass staring at me pointing to his stomach :(
I love Baranquilla and it has so much to offer, please clean this place up.

It was definitely interesting Two lions started "Doing it" to each other (and they were both boys!!). One of the monkeys came up to my brother, sat down, got back up and started slamming on the window at him. Maybe he thought they related idk..

The zoo is small, not too big but it has a lot animal to see between birds , monkeys, lions , tigers, snakes. It takes around 2 hours to see everything , and only Spanish information, nothing available in English.

It's good if you don't want to walk much, very hot mosquitos and lots of animal crap all over the floor since several birds igaunas etc are roaming free. Big animals don't look clean at all. Needs some cleaning. Take water.

It's a bit small, but just the right size for Barranquilla About the size of a city block. It's clean, with plenty of security inside and out. The animals look well taken care of, and the price to get in is reasonable. It can get hot in Barranquilla, but there is plenty of tree cover inside the zoo to keep things cool.
