The bus picked us 50 minutes late because they mixed up the hotels addresses and they blamed traffic. The return was also chaotic as the extra driver didn't appear and we had to drop off everyone (took 1h of driving through Medellín).
The guide was unexperienced and was translating constantly from Spanish to English so everything took twice as much time. Also we did unnecessary 15 minute stops in the Peñol replica and some other monument that wasn't worth it.
The place is beautiful but I wouldn't pick this tour again. The boat tour included is good though.response / report this review -

Hemos cogido dos Tour y han sido expectaculares. Sus guias la Sra. ALEYDA y el joven Marlon son bellas personas y muy humildes. En todo momento nos trataron y guiaron de forma excelente, continuen asi dando ese servicio y mantengan estas dos unidades so un tesoro para usted.
Mi persona y mi hijo Christian hemos quedado muy complacidos y los vamos a recomendar altamente al regresar a nuestro pais.

I intended to hop off the tour and stay in Guatapé for a few nights, which was previously confirmed with the tour company. On the walking tour of Guatapé (the first of the activities on the tour) I had a grand mal seizure and the tour left without me. With all my things on the bus still!! After many panic attacks, instead of finding a hospital or resting like I should have, I had to hike up to the rock in hopes of finding them. When I eventually did, the tour guide yelled at me for being late, and then said I can't go up the rock with them if I want to have lunch. I didn't get to do any of the activities and was treated like garbage.

EXCELLENT!
My esposo y yo viajamos a por primera vez a El PEÑOL y a GUATAPE y el hotel donde estabamos nos recomendo tomar el tour por VIAJES MAXITOURS, y fue genial.. no solo la atencion de la Guia Turistica Virginia y la del conductor que hacian un equipo excelente. si no los lugares el paseo por los diferentes lugares la atencion prestada, la cordialidad, excelente conocimiento de la historia, lo mejor una gran pasiencia y comprension si apuros y lo mejor de todo LA COMIDA fue genial nada barato ni malo (excelente seleccion de restaurantes y muy buenas porciones) ademas de escojer platos tipicos.
My esposo que es Norte Americano y viajaba por primera vez a Colombia y despues de dos semanas por la Ciudad de Medellin y sus alrededores lo que mas le gusto y recuerda fue el viaje al PEÑOL y la atencion de nuestra gente.
SUPER RECOMENDADA Y EL PRECIO MAS QUE GENIAL POR TODO LO QUE INCLUYE NOS QUEDAMOS MAS QUE SATISFECHOS SUPER SORPRENDIDOS. GRACIAS!!!!!
