Totally love this company. The best one in the little town of Tobia. Make sure you spend you day of adventure activities with them. Rafting in Rio Negro is usually level 1 or 2, but in high season can get up to level 3. Awesome experience!

Service and organization is extremely poor. Our timetable was delayed by four hours because of poor organization. The workers are only young boys, less than 18 years old who do not care about clients well being nor safety.
This results in a great disarray and worse, in very poor safety standards. The equipment and methods used are not safe, equipment is very old and weary, and the safety standards very are poor. For example, torrentismo has narrow ridges to cross where falling is easy with no railings and would result in severe injuries or fatalities. Also, canoping was done after sunset with the support of a cell phone flash light. Needless to say that it cannot be safe is you cannot ensure harness safety and proper attachment to the wire. Also we had two people crashing in the canopy as the teenage boys released the other person before the other one could get out of the wire.
The activities as such are quite nice but the disorganization and safety are such big issues that I would definitely not recommend them.response / report this review -

DOES NOT MEET SAFETY STANDARDS!!! Anyone visiting Tobia Extreme should be aware that their safety protocols and equipment are absolutely below industry standards (coming from an experienced climber from the US). I visited in July 2017 and did rafting, cascada (waterfall repelling), and canopy (zipline). Overall organization levels are really poor. After finishing each sport you're just left in some random part of town and your guide walks away leaving you there, giving you no info on the next part of your booking, or where/when you're supposed to go there. The rafting was fine, the rapids are really easy, and overall safety levels were acceptable and this would be fine to do with children. The waterfall repelling began with an hour-long hike through an incredibly dangerous path on the side of a sheer drop off. Within 15 minutes of hiking we passed the first headstone of someone who had died on the trail before. I'm talking sheer drop offs, no safety ropes or supports, just a long way down onto crushing rocks below. Once arriving at the waterfall, the guide did not have enough equipment for everyone, so 1/3 of the group had to sit and wait an additional 30 min for others to finish and then to use their equipment. At the top of the waterfall. A guide held up the equipment, demonstrated the art of repelling in 1 minute, and then starting clipping people in and sending them down. No equipment checks were made. No harness checks were made. No helmet checks were made. Many slipped and fell against the rocks during the waterfall descent, myself including. After a harrowing descent, we resumed hiking back down the extreme trail. Next up was the zip line canopy over the town - the least safe of all. Teenage workers instructed us to just wait for an undetermined amount of time near the bottom of the mountain. No information or explanations were given, "just wait". We waited for nearly an hour unsure if we'd even get to zipline that day, until people came down from the mountain with harnessing and helmets. The teenage employees instructed us to put on the harnesses with minimal oversight, handed us a helmet and a zipline apparatus and told us to wait again. Examining the zipline equipment, all of the carabiners were 14, 15+ years old with significant signs of wear and tear, and the rope slings and harnesses had no manufacturing dates but were held together with extreme amounts of duct tape. After waiting more, a truck arrived. A group piles into the back of the truck, which ascends the mountain, itself another terrifying experience as we ride unsecured on a mountain road with absolutely no shoulder between you and a 500 ft drop down the mountain. 2 people almost fell out of the back of the truck, everyone holding on for dear life. The truck drops you off and there's a 100 m hike to the top. At the top, again, there are no safety checks, no harness checks, no equipment checks, the teenager at the top simply hooks you onto the cable and pushes you off. It's not advertised that if you weigh less than a certain amount you will not have the momentum to make it to the opposite end of the zipline, as both me and my husband made it 80% of the way and then stopped, dangling 600 ft above the village, where another teenage employee has to quickly zip down on the wire, attach you to, and physically pull you the rest of the way down the line. Overall the organization seems only interested in getting as many visitors as possible through their offerings with the least amount of concern for their welfare and safety. I would recommend choosing another vendor, one with better safety reviews.
