Beautiful place to stay with a communal kitchen and pool as well as a patio/social area. You're given a map of the area when you check in which really comes in handy.

Tinto Hostel is a very nice hostel located in the heart of Barichara (two blocks from the central plaza).
The amenities are great, the dorms are spacious and the environment luxurious. The hammocks and the swimming pool are just awesome.
In the morning, the staff offered us coffee, tea and fresh fruits from the garden. Javier also gave us tons of information on what to do in the area.response / report this review -

A good example of how to keep high a good Lonely Planet reputation. Peaceful, very nice common areas with wide landscapes from the terrazza. Three (!) kitchens available for you to cook; coffee, tea and mangos at your disposal all the time. Very green and well maintained garden, with little swimming pool. Laundry facility for 10000COP. Our room (80000COP) was very simple but very clean, with a comfortable bed and refined linen. Staff (Xavier) is super-helpful and kind: we had a lot of very useful informations without even asking for them.

I can definitely reccommend this friendly, chill and relaxing place with nice pool. Located up the hill it has views over the village rooftops. Nice equipped kitchens and honesty fridge. Helpfull staff and great value for money. Tip: room 7 with outside shower big bed and comfy outside seating!

It really is a beautiful place to stay. You have a nice garden to relax in hamacs, a cosy living room with a kitchen, and a nice dorm. I would recommend the dorm with 6 beds as you have more space there. The owners are also very nice and will help you as they can. Go for it !

Fell in love with the town and this place added to the experience. Great view, pool and multiple areas to chill out. The hosts were very helpful and added at the relaxed atmosphere.

Stayed here for one night with my friend. It is a lovely well run hostel run by a friendly local family. Slept like a baby definitely recommend for anyone staying in beautiful Barichara
