Not too far off from the city to walk, but if you've got a lot of bags, taxis aren't much. Buy tickets in advance at the offices in town to save yourself some time

Many bus companies offering good prices, helpful staff to direct you to the correct waiting area, fine food and drinks from the shops to take with you on the bus

Terminal for long distance buses in San Gil. There is also a smaller terminal in town for nearby locations. Make sure that your long distance bus leaves the terminal at the time stated. We were told our bus was 7.30am and to be there for 7am. We arrived at 7.03am and the bus had left the 7.30am left at 7am for some reason even though it was called the 7.30am bus?!

A pleasant bus station not too far from the city. When I arrived I wasn't mobbed by taxi drivers which was so nice. A taxi drive to the city is pretty cheap though.
