This is definetely a place to visit in Barichara.

The restaurant is very unique far different from the traditional Colombian food. The menu is full of colour and tasty healthy alternatives that can be mixed up to satisfy every palate.

More than a restaurant and having food it is an experience, Carolina cares really well about each customer individually. I felt really relax and relieved of my altitude sickness after having a chat with her and drink the best coca tea I ever had. Great recipes for the soul.

    Thanks Carolina for your kindness.

Carefully prepared fresh foods, leveraging all of the wonderful produce Colombia has to offer. We arrived at Shanti with 5 (hungry and abnoxios) kids and 4 adults and felt immediately taken care of. The setting is relaxing, accommodating and very close to the plaza. Well worth the visit!

Great place - all the food is prepared fresh to order. It’s definitely slow food - as there is really only 1-2 persons cooking for all guests.

Truly food for the soul from the soul. Carolina has created a beautiful place were every single detail comes from her heart, down to the chili on the rim of the amazing passion fruit margaritas. Go enjoy!

This is a locally sourced, organically driven, "slow food" vegetarian restaurant (with meat option if absolutely desired). Shanti has a cozy and romantic atmosphere that welcomes you with the aroma of fresh vegetables and herbs being cooked right next to the seating area. Carolina runs the restaurant and she puts great effort into making you feel welcomed and explains what the options are. I ordered Pita Kahlo, (c$22,000) with a pita filled with refried black beans, buried beneath a healthy serving a spicy pico de gallo, cheese, shredded lettuces and finely sliced avocado. It was the freshest tasting dish that I have had so far during 4 weeks in Colombia, and likely the freshest I have had in 4 months of travelling Latin America. Our group of 3 all enjoyed our meals and we have all returned to the restaurant more than once in our visits to Barichara. I highly recommend eating at Shanti if you appreciate well-prepared and sourced food. It was a wonderful dining experience and I will be eating there again tonight

Caroline was so lovely and friendly and went out of her way to prepare something off the menu to my request. We all loved our meals, even the carnivores. This is food unlike anything I've had to date in Colombia. So fresh and vital, you can watch everything being prepared in front of your eyes. Do yourself a favour and visit. Yum x

Amazing Ceviche! We spent the day in Barrichirra and initially only popped in here for a quick beer to cool down.

Having seen the tables next to us food we thought we had to give it a go. We were not disappointed, the Ceviche was delicious, up there with the best ones we had in the 8 weeks in SA. You will not be disappointed!
