  Nice and modern, but also uncomfortable and way to small. The power plugs are hidden far down the seats hard to find and hard to get to handle. Lying deep down the floor for plugging in is really bad design.
  
  The food is ok, but not a standard for a Gold VIP lounge. Sitting outside is way better. If you certainly stay 8 hours it might work out because of the free drinks and food. If you just have two hours just don't use it.
  
  The showers are also modern, but the curtain has lots of mold from the inside.
  If you want to use the shower and don't have very short hair, don't forget to bring a hair dryer, because that doesn't exist in this lounge. Not well if you are planning for a business meeting the next day and have longer hair, especially for women not very friendly.
  
  The management of this lounge still has a lot to learn. Maybe a visit in Doha, Frankfurt, Dubai or Kuala Lumpur will help.

  We had an 8 hour layover in Bogota starting at midnight and after scouring the internet could just not find out what the hours were for this lounge. Thank god it's open 24 hours and costs just $30 USD per person for a day pass. We were able to sleep on the booths and stock up on bottled water. Nice bathroom facilities. Food looked like it was sitting out but the granola in the early morning is really good. Not crowded at all between midnight at 4 am. The employees kept stacking glass cups and literally vacuumed in front of us when we were sleeping at 2am though but I wasn't expecting to get a ton of sleep anyways.

  I agree with other reviewers that this is one of the better lounges, certainly in the Americas region. The lounge has a crisp, new vibe, which is instantly refreshing after a long trip. WiFi is available for use while inside the lounge. If you want to take a shower, be sure to ask first at the reception desk, since the people there are the ones who will give you a small box with a set of soaps. Once you receive your shower set, then proceed to the shower area, where an attendant will give you towels and show you to your shower stall. The food in the lounge is pretty mediocre, although, they do try to keep supplies of food stocked, even during the busiest times when the lounge is totally full. There also are two self-serve coffee machine and a small, lightly-stocked bar. Alongside the main lounge area, there is a separate area for kids with books, TVs, and video games which, frankly, I wish parents would use more There also is a separate business section, equipped with brand new Samsung Galaxy Tabs and Samsung computer monitors. Finally, there's a separate rest area which is nice if you have a long layover and need to take a nap. It's not the most comfortable rest area, with ultra-modern, pre-reclined chairs that look pretty but are not at all functional for restful sleep. Often, travelers prefer to lie down on the floor rather than sit in the chairs. Most people in the rest section are respectful of the unwritten rule of the area (i.e. don't talk), but every once in a while, you'll get some random person coming into the area talking with their friend/spouse, ruining the restful experience for everyone else. Overall, Avianca has created a nice lounge experience for the Star Alliance Gold customers.
