This restaurant has some incredible clásico costeño dishes. My absolute favorite dish here is the cazuela de mariscos. It's super authentic and brings out the amazing fresh seafood flavors that the coast is known for. The service was really good too! The only thing that was confusing is the menu didn't have too many explanations or pictures so it's tough to order if you don't know Colombian cuisine.
I guess it is a classic restaurents here. Good seafood and service. Not very crowded at the moment we arrive there at 8. Unlike some restaurents in downtown, crowded, packed.
Solid prices, fresh and tasty seafood. I enjoyed their sea bass ceviche and fish soup. They have a lot of great options on their menu and service was great. I ordered a lemonade and it was pretty sour, but the waitress noticed I was not drinking it, asked me what my thoughts were, and made me another. I appreciated that extra mile since I did not have to say anything.
Despite being nearly empty, service was slow. I ordered badly: I wanted a light meal, but the sancocho was a huge bowl of heavy, rich broth with enormous chunks of yucca, plantain and ñame. It was overwhelming. I had it with fish, which was a mistake. I forget what kind it was, but it was heavy, oily and bony. Even if I'd been famished, it was unappealing. To be fair, I could have ordered something more familiar from the menu; but the waiter could have offered me some advice, too.
The best meal we ate in Cartagena was here. In the United States this meal would easily top $200. We paid $60. The servers were professional and unobtrusive. Don't let the outside fool you, this is white tablecloths and the best service. Prices are affordable compared to what you would pay for the same preparation in the United States. You should definitely include this as a Cartagena dining experience.
This was our first to try restaurant in cartagena and it was the best, the sea food was amazing, the service was great too.
Great food. And it's cool inside
After a week exploring Bocagrande, this place became a go-to. Great food, great service
The food was perfect, service great, price low
Was recommended by my tour guide, quite extensive menu, ordered the deep fried red snapper, a little pricey, accompanying plantains were dry, coconut rice was tasty, wanted a second cerveza , but couldn't get servers attention, atmosphere is very relaxing.
Good food and service with moderate prices for Colombia. They have free WiFi and the service is fast.
So yummy! Bass with garlic shrimp & coconut rice. Best restaurant in Cartagena. Romantic atmosphere with waterfall and lovely ambiance. Warm bread and whipped butter to start. Ice cold beer & an extensive wine menu. 3 dinners here in 23 day vacation. Treated like royalty - absolutely lovely!
