Good food & good service

When we leave we feel somewhat cheated, the total is almost 200k and while the food was very fresh and good the majority of the bill is a sangria that the waiter offer us on arrival. Just say no to anything or ask for the price before accepting any offers. The food is good, the ceviche peruana is fresh and the fish with seven flavors and the risotto are very tasty but they are more asian than peruan. We liked the food and the service was fast but we will not be going back but due to the unexpected bill.

Normally, I do not write reviews because I do not really care about food, the way a lot of people do, but this place needs an honest review. The good first: I had a hard time finding the causa on the menu, finally I did, it was a combination I havent seen before, basically Lomo Saltado on top of Causa. I didn't even know the causa was there until I started picking at this dish. It was great. The steak strips were surprisingly tender: most meat in Colombia is over cooked, to the point it's inedible to me. The ceviche and juice we ordered was ok too. The bad: the restaurant is too noisy for me, like most restaurants in Medellin and all of SA. I do not need this crappy music to enhance my dining experience, we are not dancing, we're eating and hopefully having some interesting conversation. Second, our waiter. He seemed exactly like most Colombian waiters, not welcoming, not happy, not smiling, annoyed I'm not moving my arm so he could put the fork in an exact spot on the table, who cares about this! And then I asked for the wifi password and por waiter made up some story about some vandals damaging some antenna which knocked out the wifi; ok, why do I see your network name on my available wifi networks, it's the same name as your restaurant? give me the wifi password and I'll see if it works, I'll see if you're lying to me for some strange reason. Look, I'm not an idiot, I know working in a restaurant as a waiter is a hard gig, but the experience in Medellin seems to be not as focused on the customer. When I eat at a restaurant I want to trust the person that's handling my food, and it's hard to trust someone who has this bad energy, is not smiling, is not welcoming. This restaurant will be crossed off the list, if you do go, try the causa, but I'll not be returning to this restaurant.

The food and service is impeccable. Sea food, meat, salads everything's delicious. The service is a little bit slow but not as much as to be bothering and also the food is completely worth it.
