This is a lovely place in San Gil. The "obleas" sold at this place are really tasty desserts. The view is also great, and there are many food and snacks restaurants.

Clean and tidy most of times. There you can find a place to hang out with your friends and grab something to eat from the street vendors. If your palate requires something more delicate to eat, there are several options around it. There are some places of historical and religious interest. Only recommendation, no alcoholic drinks allowed within the park perimeter, but you can grab a beer at the local bars surrounding the park.

In terms of town squares in Colombia go, this one is alright. The greenery is nice, but there aren't great spaces to hang out in.

Lugar amplio y muy bonito con una gran cantidad de locales comerciales cerca, sitios de comida y parqueaderos, a solo dos cuadras del centro comercial principal del municipio.

Me encanta este parque, ahora que tiene más lugares donde sentarse para conversar con amigos y pasar un buen rato bajo la sombra de sus frondosos árboles. También hay vendedores ambulantes con dulces típicos de la región. Aunque hace falta crear una mejor cultura de aseo tanto en sangileños como turistas.

Yes, it invariably is a park, but neither a quiet nor especially beautiful one. More like a block of green within a city. For relaxation etc. In San Gil rather head to Parque Gallineral
