The public library is located in this place, it's normal to find beggars and hippies in the place. Multiple concerts and activities are carried out in this place on special dates.and finally this is one of the most iconic squares located downtown.

This square is a nice park, just in front of the Dario Echandia public bibliotheca. This is a touristic place, where you can find paperwork, touristic office and hotel. There is also a great theater, the Teatro Tolima, the most important theater in the city.

La plazoleta Dario Echandía es un espacio de la ciudad pensado para la realización de pequeños eventos al aire libre. En la actualidad el visitante puede encontrar servicio s lustrabotas, venta de revistas y casi s modo permanente artesanías hippies. Ubicada al lado de la biblioteca del Banco de la República, homónima.
