Attractive place to spend a wonderful weekend. Its streets are beautifully designed, clean and safe. There is a variety of food to eat from, yet is not always cheap.
Spectacular colonial site to pass a wonderful weekend. Its streets are beautifully decorated, clean and safe. Food is varied, though not cheap.
Its the biggest plaza in colombia. Great place for people watching
In the top 5 tourist destinations for Colombians. This is the city/town where Colombia was founded. Think Williamsburg in the USA. Great scenery classic architecture and loots of fun. Recent (1980s) dinosaur find has boosted travel to the area. This is a peaceful getaway from daily city grind (Bogota).
I absolutely love this place. So ancient, so full of history and colonial architecture. Its big open square surrounded by beautiful old Spanish casonas of the 16 and 17 hundreds. The little streets that take you to and from the plaza are just perfect for a night stroll with a love one. And right on the plaza there are a few restaurants, bars and stores. Beautiful place specially at night
Popular landmark, really nice town, but I think that everything is way to expensive, all prices are for people with dollars, if you want good food at good prices better stay at bogota
Beautiful experience! This place is very cultural full of restaurants and hotels. The weather is like spring, very comfortable. Look forward to come back!
This a magical place like many others in Colombia. You can meet people from anywhere around the world. Is very recommended the kite festival in August, but if you go any day at any time you won't be disappointed. Beautiful, quite most of the time.
This is the main spot to start and end a travel to Villa de Leyva.
All around there is a variety of places where you can enjoy a meal or drink.
A beautiful place to spend your evening. A bit quiet and pleasant. You will find a lot of eating options. Best view during sunset.
Beautiful colonial architecture, great for having a drink at night. Restaurants nearby are top notch.
This enormous space is considered to be one of the most beautiful town squares in all of South America. On weekdays it is very quiet, but gets crowded from weekenders coming up from Bogota. A must-visit in Santander state.
Pretty plaza. Lots going on during the festival of lights. Fun to sit up on the second floor of one of the cafes, have a coffee, and people watch down below.
It's a great, historical place where you can enjoy with your friends and family. Really nice bars and restaurants with live music.
Loved sitting down in the plaza and just relaxing with some drinks. spent few hours just watching the sunset. Would recommend checking to see if there are any events in the plaza during the evening as they have fireworks, music and entertainment at times.
Nice place. There is a chocolate museum in one corner. Delicious place.
Villa de Leyva is a beautiful town 3 hours or so from Bogotá. It has a colonial architecture, great restaurants and a bunch of local stores. It's just a magical Colombian place to visit.
