Main intro descriptions were in English which was nice. Mainly paintings but also some sculptures. Nicely laid out in several rooms. The modern art area upstairs was great
The place is Magic! You found all the Colombian history through objects that represents the culture and society! Nowadays it has new exhibitions and modern rooms with high technology and entertainment for all ages visitors!
Excellent place to visit if you are interested in the history of Colombia. A very complete museum. Prices are cheap and they offer guide service to enjoy the visit and to learn Colombian history.
A very interesting place to learn Colombian history. The building itself is also quite fascinating as I think it was converted from an old prison. Quite a few Botero's paintings on top floor. I wish there are more English translations.
An interesting place to visit. It had detail on all Colombian history and artifacts from all the periods masking up the construct of modern Colombia. Most of the information is in Spanish, so come prepared to translate. Start on the top level and work your way down. Some nice photo opportunity as well.
Interesting place to visit. Needs more signs in English though. If you or someone you are going with can't speak Spanish you won't get much out of it.
Nice place, huge, lots to see, very diverse collections. Definitely worth a visit. Located in a great area with lots of restaurants.
It was a wonderful experience. Very inexpensive in a historical former prison. A number of English translations on works of art and displays. Even with minimal Spanish I'd recommend this museum.
Must see no.1 in the city! I realised, how rich and colorfull is colombian culture. So many nations, So many styles. I loved the wall od diversity. So strong impression! I catched So many feelings about colombia here. 4mil adult entrance. Interactive maps, professionaly and artistically created exhibition.
I felt like I learned a lot about Colombian history here and the entrance fee was only like a dollar. It has several floors and many exhibits, so it can take a while to go through everything

Nice change of pace for hectic Bogota. The have some interesting collections on Colombia's Republican era. There's also some rotating collections. Must see if in Bogota.
The National Museum offers a complete insight to Colombia's history and art heritage. Besides being a beautiful landmark in Bogotá, you can find a wonderful concert hall, a small café, and a souvenir shop inside. It is a must do when getting to know the city.
A good place to learn about the history of our beautiful Colombia. A good plan in family, couple or individual. The museum has a good layout and each section is well defined.

A very thoughtfully put together museum, however limited English descriptions. As my Spanish is very poor I did not understand the significance or history of a lot of the works and objects. However, I enjoyed walking around the old prison looking at the beautiful objects.
Since I couldn't understand much of the written pieces I only spent about 2 hours here and saw everything
This places houses all of the historical and cultural treasures of Colombia 🇨🇴. There's a Juan Valdez coffee shop in the garden of the museum. Give your self three hours to view all exhibits on all three floors.
An excellent mix of art and artifact. This is the place to start when you arrive in Bogotá and want to learn about Colombian culture. It's also in a fantastic historic building. Many of the vignette exhibits are in former jail cells. Don't miss the first one on the left that explains the history of one of the prisoners.
